Tennessee Welcome Center / Rest area on the 65 South for Cars, Busses and Trucks. - Seriously, the cleanest rest area in Tennessee! Not just the bathrooms, but the entire parking and rest area. Paula, together with three other girls are very helpful in advising what to do in Tennessee, the neighborhoods, and the rich history of the state of Tennessee. You obviously can tell that these girls are instructed very well, have been educating themselves about the history and what to do in Tennessee, and on top of that they are very nice, Helpful and friendly. The rest area itself, looks fabulous taken care of, like a high-end garden from a mansion in Bel Air. Clean, beautiful trees and flowering plants, many signs with information about the history and well-known or lesser known facts about Tennessee. The rest area is providing electricity through Solar panels and therefore contributing to lesser greenhouse emissions.

The bathrooms by itself are unbelievable clean. Like they were brand new, and made yesterday. Every single time I pass by here they are always as clean as you can think off. There is access for handicapped and a changing table for babies, and there are so many bedrooms that two busloads with people can go to the bathroom at the same time! An overload of picnic houses with many tables and benches gives everyone the possibility to sit down and relax in the shade. The pets can walk around in a dedicated pet area. Also, There is a separate vending building with more than plenty of vending machines from water, snacks, fresh to brew coffee and pet snacks. The place is very kid friendly and safe! The only downside is that you are not allowed to overnight in your car or truck. Again this rest place is fantastic if I could give 100...

Traveling through Tennessee, I stopped at one of the rest areas, and I was genuinely impressed by the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere. The restrooms were absolutely spotless, which is a rare find on long road trips. Everything, from the floors to the sinks, was impeccably maintained, and the fresh smell made it clear that the facilities are regularly cleaned and cared for. The attention to detail, such as well-stocked paper products and functioning hand dryers, made the experience even more pleasant.

Equally noteworthy were the friendly staff members who greeted visitors with warm smiles. Their helpful and approachable demeanor added a personal touch to an otherwise routine pit stop. One staff member even went out of their way to provide directions and offer recommendations for nearby attractions, which I found incredibly thoughtful.

The combination of pristine restrooms and courteous staff made this rest area a standout. It’s clear that the team takes pride in creating a clean and comfortable environment for travelers. If you're passing through Tennessee and need a break, I highly recommend stopping at their rest areas. It’s more than just a quick stop—it’s a pleasant and refreshing experience that will leave you feeling cared for...

TENNESSEE WELCOME CENTER IS NOT VERY WELCOME!

Yesterday, August 1st, I stopped at the Welcome Center in Giles County. It was midnight when I stopped with my pick up truck and my RV travel trailer. Fatigued after countless hours of driving and craving sleep, I went to park my car in the truck parking area. Unfortunately, the area was jam packed with other truck drivers parked for the night. Seeing the auto parking lot was empty, I went to park there in the auto lot before the drowsiness knocked me out. I proceeded to sleep in the RV but at 4 AM IN THE MORNING, one of the people who works in the welcome center banged on my RV trailer door and forced us to leave the parking lot. Keep in mind we were not blocking anyone since the parking lot was almost empty. He kicked us out at 4 AM. Drowsily, I got up and proceeded to continue to drive since another rest area wasn’t available for many miles.

I found it very disappointing to see this kind of service at a “welcome” center. I nearly got in a car crash soon after because of the lack of sleep I got.

Do not go to this Welcome area. I was extremely dissatisfied, I would give this a 0 star...

Awesome rest stop, entering Tennessee from Alabama. I stopped here so my mom could use the ladies room. She came back to the car and said it’s one of the nicest rest stops she’s ever seen. She insisted I check it out. The visitors center is loaded with the latest, up-to-date maps of Tennessee, brochures and magazines of everything fun and interesting about The Volunteer State. If you’re passing by, it’s a must-see! We have only been in TN for 2 years, so we’re still exploring. It was great getting our hands on an actual old school map of the entire state. The girls working here were super sweet too. I was stoked to get my hands on a map of the Whiskey Trail and all of the TN wineries. The best thing is that everything is free!

Great stop. Traveling through with two dogs. Plenty of space to let them out to stretch, potty, and have a snack. Grounds were tidy and pretty, and I loved the nod to Tennessee history and the intentionality of developing and maintaining a pollinator garden. The restrooms were clean, comfortable, and well-supplied. Didn’t use the picnic tables because of my dogs and personal preference to respect the space of non-dog people, but they looked well maintained and were very nicely shaded. I can imagine that would be a great little spot for a picnic lunch! Will definitely stop here again, next time I am passing through. Thank you, Tennessee!
