Nice spot even though it was super muddy, went to fish but didn't have any luck. Ended up leaving because some guy in a white pick up drove by numerous times very slowly and it was just my young daughter and I, shortly after he drove by for the 4th or 5th time a black sedan with dark tinted windows pulled up and parked but stayed in their car which was kind of creepy. After they just sat there for about 10 minutes I decided to leave. Nice spot, but keep an eye on your surroundings if you go.

Took my grandson Tristen Miller 3rd place winner in the Indiana Bass Federation tournament 2020-2021 series there to fish for carp. He was able to see and talk to a DNR officer about becoming one in the future.

Muddy, needs upkeep and surprised that, for a historic landmark, is so neglected. However, it is along a quiet narrow country road. If you're looking for peace and quiet this spot could be for you.
