This location could be a crowning gem! I can't speak for the hotel. But the RV park guest are treated like second class citizens. Literally you beg to use the showers! The pool, has been broken for years. You learn that from everyone upfront. So, we called and asked how to access the showers, and they answered, "Hey just come on down to the gas station and we'll take care of you." So, I make my way down to the gas station. The guy at the counter, "Sure I can let you in, just go around back." 20 minutes later, -no one! I walked back inside and this guy dodges off to the back. I go back around and -crickets! So, it's busy in there, we give them the benefit of the doubt, I leave and come back 3 hours later.... A New face at the counter "Yeah, yeah I'll tell him. Just go around back." So, it's day light! If not, this go around back stuff would have been an issue. I did go back around, to find the same guy from before, "hey I forgot you, he explains" He opens the now unlock-able shower slash horror pit, that's got dead water-bugs, and broken urinals lined with police style caution tape. No lights in these dirty stalls and surrounding filth, every inch was dirty. My advice -Don't meet him around the back for a shower with unlock-able doors. Keep your money and stay somewhere else, all in one big voice, the staff scream we don't want you here! Oh, they only serve that brisket they advertise about (Thursday through Saturday.) Seems they should include that in their advertisement! And Don't ask for steak at the grill for breakfast, you'll get a nasty response.

We spent one night at the hotel. The room was really clean and modern. The bathroom was very up to date. If you get a players card, here, the perks are pretty generous. They gave us each $20 free play for signing up and then, when we took them the receipt for our room they gave us each an additional $20 in free play, plus $24 food vouchers each, and $24 gas vouchers each! We ate ate the restaurant and the food was really good and the lady serving us was really nice. Had a great time!

I live near The Apache Gold Casino. I was evacuated from my home because of the Mescal Wildfire, I went to the evacuation shelter at the Casino. It was a Great experience and the staff took excellent care and were incredibly attentive to my needs. Everyone evacuated were treated to free meals at their buffet, and where I stayed and slept, snacks and drinks made available to everyone. At a stressful time, San Carlos Apache Gold Casino made it much less stressful. Excellent Job!!!

Please read my entire review...I start with 2 stars because we were greeted by the rudest front desk/lobby check-in staff we have ever experienced in the 36 years we have traveled together. (We are in our late 50's) They gave the impression that they were inconvenienced to have to stop talking among themselves and to have to go through the motions to assist us. Every time we stopped by in person for assistance or with a question it was always the same during our two night visit - no time to "waste" on hotel guests. And do not rely on the front desk for a wake-up call. They just ignore your requests.

Now...on to our room. We give our room 5 stars. In fact we want to return in the next month or so as we did not complete our "exploring" of the area. But sadly we were told by the front desk staff that we could not request the same room on our next visit...as that is not their policy. OK...so maybe 1 star to the front lobby staff! Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, had easy access to the casino and parking lot, a fridge, and a room darkening shade (which was nice because we stayed up until 4:30 am our first night. Only the tub area needed a little bit of maintenance work...but still 5 stars.

Next we are moving on to the buffet in the casino. One can only hope they get Emma as their waitress when dining there. What a wonderful and kind person! (Maybe she can train the front desk staff :}. Our only complaint is we arrived 15 minutes before the buffet shut down and we were not told this when we paid for the buffet. So we lost out on having any of the meats...so 2 stars to the person that took our money but 10 stars to Emma.

Next...the casino bar...we found it very understaffed and had to wait for long periods of time to get our cocktails. With the prices charged for drinks, the bar should be staffed sufficiently. And again, this was an area that needs management's attention. Lots of talking was going on between the two staff working the bar so maybe...less talk and more work??? 3 stars to the bar.

The casino had great machines, some of which we hadn't run across before so that made it fun...and yes we did get to hear "cha ching"!. Only negative is get your drinks before sitting down to gamble as the wait staff was not seen our first night and rarely seen our second night.

So, yes we will return but only if we can request the same room with our giving them...

Several things occurred during our stay this past weekend. First and foremost, our reservation was not correct. We requested non smoking rooms and were told that we would have those; I called to let them know that we would be arriving late, only to find out that our room was 'not guaranteed' and not noted that we requested a non smoking room. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that "The only person here is a casino manager and they have nothing to do with the hotel." I did get the name of a supervisor and informed the front desk that I would be speaking with them the next day. Miraculously, it was discovered that they indeed had our request on file and all things were rectified in that aspect. Next would be our room. Our door locked on us and we could not get in. 25 mins in a hall with an ill-working ac unit and maintenance finally showed up to assist. As if the weekend couldn't get any more stellar, I noticed that I left my silver necklace in our room. I called the day we left and was told that Housekeeping would have it. Was transferred to housekeeping and they stated that they were not the ones I should be contacting. When asked to be transferred to the appropriate person/department, the person was unable to transfer as she didn't know how, and politely asked me to call back to the main number and ask for the correct department. Got to the correct department to find out the person that I needed to speak with would not be in until the next day at 8am. Called at 8:15am as instructed and was told that this person was doing paperwork and would have to call me back. Took my name and number and stated she would return my call. I called yet again around 10:30 and ended up having to leave a message as no one was available. Called a third time, same thing. Called a fourth time and was told by front desk staff that I should have been notified that the hotel was not responsible for anything left in the room. How unprofessional, unethical, and plain rude. I would NEVER recommend staying there as the hotel, besides its stellar customer service oriented staff, is old, antiquated and plain below resort standards. Stay in town (Globe-Miami) and go to the casino. Stay away...

First and foremost we'd like to express our gratitude to Apache Gold Casino Mgr. Cheryl Thompson who made sure our Trio package was honored and Casino Buffet waitress Phylicia who made sure we got everything right. Not to mention two bright shining stars who displayed great customer service! So we checked into a room Saturday night which appeared clean until we showered and a got strong smell of urine coming up from around the toilet. We made our complaint and were given another room which did not smell. When my girlfriend further explained our disappointment with the issue about the room with the front desk hotel worker a woman rudely chimed in without even introducing herself as the hotel Supervisor. We extended our reservation for 1 more night with another Trio package and we're given such a hard time when we noticed our free play was not activated on our cards. This is when Casino Mgr. Cheryl Thompson stepped in and made things right. This Casino lacks beverage service out on the floor of the Casino. After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars we found ourselves parched without having any drinks available! When we asked the Casino midnight Supervisor if we could get some water or soda, she rudely responded " What is it than? Soda or Water"? We couldn't believe the attitude of some of the Casino workers we dealt with when we asked to cash in our vouchers when we explained the voucher machines were down. The Casino workers at the Cashier booth acted as though we we're inconveniencing them by asking for a cash in. The Casino lacks more than customer service but perhaps a makeover in maintenance & cleanliness as we noticed dirty slot machines and walls lacking paint. This Casino absolutely lacks that fresh clean smell that the other Casinos in Arizona provide. We respectively ask the Owners if they expect good decent customers to visit their Casino , to take the time and have some pride in your "Treasure of Gold" and definitely make...
