This is a lovely park to walk, hike, fish or picnic. We were there on a Saturday and there were several people fishing and in the picnic areas. The staff were super friendly as we were greeted at the entry with a smile and a good conversation. Unfortunately, we saw dogs off leash and a ton of dog poop piles around the pond on the trail. We also saw some trash that wasn’t very pleasant. This, of course, is not the fault of the staff. If there were more official staff presence on the pond and trails this may lessen this bad behavior and decrease the amount of work in the long run for the wonderful staff.    Read moreStopped here on a hunch and man did it deliver some surprising results. First , this place is small and hidden but very well maintained and staffed . The picnic areas and restrooms are clean and we took advantage of the table and canopy to grill some steaks while my family fished . There are grills on site but we had our own . My kids landed a few rainbow trout but the highlight was a massive fish that was lost as it broke the surface and bent the hook on my son’s gold spoon . That beast was huge . If someone reading this review manages to land it , please post a pic . He was able to land a gorgeous bass that partially made up for the big one...
