Add Greer to your AZ bucket list ✅ only 3.5 hours from Phoenix and a freaking stunning change of pace from the valley! it’s one of the most beautiful, tranquil towns we’ve ever been to 🌲 Here’s what should be on your list while you visit: 🌲if you like hiking, try the “government springs” creekside hike or the “Mount baldy” if you like a more difficult journey 🎣 for fishing, they have amazing lakes like “river reservoir” that are full of trout! You can stock up at the @lazy_trout_cabins general store in town. 🍽️ for meals, we recommend “the rendezvous diner” for a quick casual lunch and “Molly butler’s lodge” for a more fancy sit down ⭐️ to see the Milky Way, just go outside! Greer is remarkably dark so you can see millions of stars. REMEMBER TO LEAVE NO TRACE & follow us for more hidden gems in Arizona 🤍 HAVE YOU BEEN TO GREER? #whitemountains #greer #greeraz #cutetown #hiddengem #arizona #whitemountainapache

pretty hard to say no with views like this 😍 located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest in eastern Arizona, the White Mountains are the perfect place to go to escape the city, enjoy cooler temps and immerse yourself in the beautiful outdoors. with no shortage of camping, fishing and hiking, it’s an outdoor lovers paradise! with the record breaking temps in Phoenix right now, maybe it’s just the push you need to pack your bags and hit the road! the temps in the White Mountains are roughly 30 degrees cooler than the valley. sounds wonderful, right?! 🤤 what are you waiting for? send this to someone you’d want to go here with! reel locations 🎥: 📍Sunrise Park Resort 📍Thompson Trail #629 📍Government Springs 95A 📍Woodland Lake Park 📍Big Lake 📍Bunch Reservoir #summerescape #explorearizona #whitemountainsaz #hikeaztrails #beautifuldestinations #outdoorlovers

This trail was beautiful! It was super easy. You will get muddy though So if you don’t like that don’t do it. We took our three small dogs and they absolutely loved it but also were covered in mud after it was over. We always come prepared though with towels and baby wipes. The path is very narrow for a good portion of the trail so if you get claustrophobic that might not be for you but it’s very easy. There are some rocky and muddy places and can be slippery at times so wear proper boots. Besides all that it was absolutely gorgeous! The path stays right next to the little Colorado river creek and was running and flowing when we went near the end of August. We saw a few deer and plenty of beautiful birds. It was about 3 miles round trip to the man made dam and back. There were bathrooms at the beginning of the trail but they smelled so bad we opted not...

Great hike along Little Colorado River at end of paved road in beautiful Greer...an end of the road pioneer village in the White Mountains at 8350 feet elevation... Which is the elevation you need to stay cool in Arizona summers... and grab a bite at the oldest lodge in Arizona, Molly Butler's!!! Better yet, rent one of many cabins available thru AirBnB, VRBO, etc. Hiking, biking, fishing and just plain relaxing, it's all good in the mountains!! Breathe, rest your eyes on the different shades of green and listen to the sounds of the river as you remember why you came up to the...

We hiked trail in the beginning of June. It is both gorgeous and very easy, you do have to watch your step though because there are lots of rocks and logs on the trail and it can be pretty muddy in some spots, even in the middle of summer (the logs and rocks did help us avoid those spots though!) We didn’t go all the way to the waterfall, but still had a great time. Hearing the sound of the river running and the birds chirping was so peaceful. It was not super busy but not empty either. We passed by a few other hikers and they were all...
