It was a lot clearer than some other lakes, and there is a ton of cool stuff!!! Around 30 ft it goes from warm to cold. If you are going to be below this for most of the dive, you will probably want a five mil wetsuit. I haven’t gone deeper than 35’ in it yet, (ran out of air+ plus all the cool stuff is at 20-30), but I did reach the first thermocline. There is another from 40-50 feet, You Will Freeze! It drops down to 40 degrees, I have heard, so unless you have a dry suit…
I had a 63 tank, but I would recommend bringing two if you want to be able to see all the cool stuff.

Read moreThis place is great! I’ve been diving this site for the last ten years. The dive park is nice, lots of submerged vehicles and boats to swim through. The only issue would be those open water students coming through stirring up everything on the weekends. Best to get here early. The best thing to do would be to dive off the bluffs on the other side of the dive park. There you can get a lot deeper really quick and swim through an enchanted forest. There’s a drop off around a 100” that goes straight down to 180”. Yaa the abyss!...
