Call before you go to make sure the services advertised are being offered that day. I took a 6yo, 8yo and 10yo girl. They were looking forward to the face painting, which was not available and holding the kangaroo, which was not available. We asked to hold the snake but was denied because 2 were shedding and the worker mumbled something about why we couldn’t hold the other 2. I asked what animals can they hold because they saw kids holding animals on the website. The only option we were given were the ferrets but no one showed us the location of the ferrets. I felt like it was excuse after excuse when I asked about activities that were offered with the $15 admission. As we were leaving, I saw a couple holding the baby kangaroo. I asked if the girls can hold it and was told no because the kangaroo wasn’t feeling well. I expressed my disappointment that the activities that we were looking forward too were not available. She said they were understaffed because it was a Sunday. I told her about the snake situation and then all of sudden we were able to hold it. If I would have known this before I spent $69, I would have waited to come back when they were better staffed. The girls did enjoy feeding the animals out of the...
Read moreOur family stopped in on a beautiful Sunday afternoon around 1pm. General admission is $15 and includes the Hayride, Pony Ride (90 lb. max), and Reptile room. Add on's included Feed buckets $5, Camel rides $10-15? (Can't remember, we chose not to do this as we've rode before and it's kinda rough ride, Hold a 6 ft Snake $5 (it is Free to hold and touch the smaller snakes), Monkey Show $10 (dates TBA), Hold a baby Kangaroo. Our family of 4 spent $110, not including the concession. We bought 2 buckets of feed and chose to hold the baby Kangaroo, which we were a little disappointed with. The last time we visited the park, it was before the fire and we had a great experience holding the babies! This time we got to privately interact with small kangaroos. They have done great rebuilding their venue; however, we weren't as pleased this go round for the price. If you are afraid of free range farm animals, like baby goats and emu following you around, turkey, peacock, and so much more just roaming freely, then you probably...
Read moreJust attended a toddler birthday party at Cockrills Country Critters and it was over the top wonderful. Not only did the toddlers enjoy feeding all the animals (animal crackers were provided at the party, animal feed is available at Cockrills), adults had equally as much fun! All of the animals are wonderful with children, well cared for and you can see the staff love on them and call them by name. They have llamas, lemurs, ducks, turkeys, camels, chickens, ducks, goats, ferrets, cockatoos, pigs, snake, rabbits, ponies and a monkey! In addition to the animals, there was prearranged face painting, pony rides and a hayride. I can’t say enough good things about this place and it’s staff! Great adventure and experience! Bring your own water bottle if you need one, they are doing...
