Ok so imma tell you why I gave it 3 stars. The place is beautiful and the bathrooms are well tended from the 2 I visited that day. My issue was that we went fishing on Memorial Day and so many campers were trying to leave that we got hung up in traffic trying to get to the fishing area. Their clean out for the septic is in one of the bathrooms and if they are cleaning out campers don't try to use that one. We tried and got in a line of like 5 campers and then the people hauling the campers started cussing us because we were trying to get to the bathroom. So we had to go all the way to the other side of the park just to tinkle. So my problem wasn't really the park other than I feel like they should have put that septic clean out somewhere else away from the big bathrooms so that people could actually use them. My problem was the rude people. Don't cuss me because I have to pee. Don't cuss me period for...
Read moreI stumbled across this campground while searching for a good place to camp with a dear friend. I was reluctant to choose it since there were few pictures. But I did, and after our long drive we were greeted by one of the most cranky women I have ever met. She was of no help, and really set the mood for the stay! As the friend and I drove in (struggling to find our spot since our new friend did not give any direction) we saw a sign that said "no swimming." Ah the agony... This was one of the things I was most looking forward to during our camping excursions. But alas, we were not warned of this crocodile infested water before coming. We reserved 3 nights and ended up only staying 1. But I have to say, it was lovely of them to reimburse us for the 2 nights we "sadly" did not get to enjoy. All is well. We will just be choosing a new campground next time we camp(which will...
Read moreAwesome place to fish. In fact, we ate at a fish-fry while there. Deliciously clean fish and we really took note of it. Would love to book a week o two there to fish and drink my problems away...lol. the gentleman who greeted us when driving in was perfect with the guests. That may seem too biases for the fact we served in the Navy 40 + years earlier, and was the first time we've seen him since, but, he was well liked and respected by the guests in a very friendly way. And he enjoys his work there. His name is Danny Aires and worthy to meet when...
