Well what can I say I love this place it's home to me . I have birth certs from my kin being born all in this area from here to magazine. From 1854 on . We been in this area . But so beautiful. So peaceful. No trails to hike but a wonderful little drive your at mt magazine you can hike all u want . But the fishing was super good . And the views were even better . It's now our family tradition spot to visit. And area 51 is not for a camper IS NOT . It's tent only . But the water and electricity is nice and the view is great . Be careful .your car is on a little nule.so you will have to walk down . And always get a map . That's very needed. If any one finds a muskrat case knife peach seed red bone in an Arkansas stone leather sheath please contact me I bought that in the Navy the only thing I got left from those days I lost at this campsite please reach out I give u some money for the...

Great campground! We stayed in our 35 ft fifthwheel in site 8 (great site!), this is a place where most people seem to come for the boating/fishing. So the roads are a bit tight when people park on the shoulders, but it was navigable so long as you know where your rigs clearances are - an experienced driver shouldn't have trouble but a newbie might. We had an easy back in spot, lots of room at our site, the sites seemed well maintained and the whole park in general was very clean and cared for. The showers were nice and got good and warm, the kids playground was super cute, my 4yo and 2 yo loved the swings and slides. All of the views were great! Watch out for the algae blooms (its seasonal), and the no-seeums came out at night but that's normal too. It was very beautiful and peaceful! We...

I just love this quiet little area. PSA: you will be camping in an area with wildlife, so remember to keep food stored out of access of raccoons or you may have to make a trip back to town for groceries 😅 Beautiful sunsets every night. I loved watching the birds while drinking my morning coffee ☕ Woodpeckers visited every morning around 8. There are 2 bathhouse locations each with wheelchair accessible showers 🚿 and toilet stalls. There is a playground for the kiddos a group shelter house and a stage with bench seating. Several areas to put your watercraft in/out, a swim beach and several camping spots with picnic tables and fire pits. Water and electricity. I highly recommend everyone check this place out at...

The park is in sight of Arkansas's highest peak, Mt. Magazine. The park is on a peninsula in Blue Mountain Lake. The west side has great sunsets and the north side of park looks up on the twinkling lights of the Mt. Magazine Lodge. Two boat launches, two shower houses, and swim beach are in the park. I camped here regularly during the hottest part of 2019. Sites 49-51 have the best breezes. Site 51 is too steep for a camper, but might be the prettiest because it looks out on the lake on three sides. Site 4 is the only other site not really suitable for a camper trailer, but (like sies 1-5) has the best view of Mt. Magazine.

The lake is flooded right now and several sites are closed. I reserved a campsite and used my disability pass however the site information did NOT inform me it was on a steep hill and I would have to toke my things below. There’s barely enough parking for my car. Speaking of car that’s where I’m sleeping tonight because I’m disable and can’t toke my things up and down this hill. Terrible! Plus I have a 17 almost 18 yo dog. This site shouldn’t have been rentable!
