It's a great to bring a picnic, lay out a blanket and watch the water and ducks and other activities. We get ice cream at the Braum's, down the street and drive here. My Mom loves this place too. We really missed it when the renovation was going on and NOBODY could get in. Now, it's better. They created paths to drive around, when you enter and leave. It's safer to drive within the parking lot now. You can dock your boat or skidoos, but NO SWIMMING!! People ignore that sign. It's too dangerous with boats loading and unloading, and with the equipment hidden underwater from creating this lake and the heavy rain helped create the lake, a long time ago. It has children's play equipment, and picnic tables, places to fish and to walk around the park (not exactly...

Very windy. Well kept, except for one thing. The lone restroom. The maintenance guy was cleaning the floor Women's restroom when I happened upon the scene. He offered I use the Men's. I went in to find the lone stall had no door, so I waited instead. Yes, the floor looked good, and there was a working sink with hand soap. So good on that. However, it was clear that the toilet paper had not been refilled. Of 2 stalls, the handicap stall also did not have a door anymore. It had toilet paper, duh! But the 1st stall had almost none out of a 2 industrial roll style holder. The main event of a room with a toilet is the toilet paper. Especially if it's a Women's...

Bowman Springs Park Pt. 2 (reupload) 7003 W Poly Webb Rd, Arlington, TX 76016 Land for Bowman Springs Park, named for the Bowman family that settled in Arlington in 1852, was acquired on January 9, 1959. Originally referred to as "Feather Beach" the 14-acre park takes advantage of its location perched on the southeastern edge of the lake. Paddlers can enter an 11-mile paddling trail that is the first of its kind in the DFW area and the first flat-water trail in Texas. The park also features a fishing pier, a floating dock, an eight-lane boat ramp, and, as one lakeside resident pointed out, "the most beautiful sunsets in the world." Much of the water that is stored in Lake Arlington originates from the land area that drains downstream into the Lake. A significant portion of the drinking water that the citizens of Arlington receive from the Wa-ter Utilities Department ultimately comes from springs, stormwater runoff and tributaries within the Village Creek watershed that drains into Lake Arlington. Much of the water that is stored in Lake Arlington originates from the land area that drains downstream into the Lake. A significant portion of the drinking water that the citizens of Arlington receive from the Wa- ter Utilities Department ultimately comes from springs, stormwater runoff and tributaries within the Village Creek watershed that drains into Lake Arlington. A series of American Indian villages situated along the creek, housing Caddos, Cherokees, and Tonkawas, served as a stronghold against the encroachments of White settlers from the east and Comanches from the west. #bowmanspringspark #lakearlington #arlingtontx #caddo #cherokee #tonkawa #comanche #indians #republicoftexas #battleofvillagecreek

I have more pictures to post on here but it won't upload this is the better part of Arlington lake out of the two spots you can visit the loading ramp is pretty good and the area where you can barbecue is really good as it has plugs and you can have a family get-together I recommend it to anybody who's trying to go to the lake have a small area you know for family get together it's perfect. Plus if you like watching ducks or feeding dogs don't feed them bread but you know it's good place to get pictures with ducks and squirrels . just please don't feed the ducks bread because it's not part of the regular diet.

It's a nice park, lots of shade, and a great view of Arlington lake. Boating is allowed, although swimming is not. Great park for get togethers, and for barbecue! Great fishing too...but the fish are smart and it takes a dedicated fisherman to outsmart the fish...are you up to the challenge? That park for all your recreation needs, and a child's play area, to bring your children for hours of fun and relaxation. Come join us get a spell, we'll leave a spot for you to park...and most people are real friendly...as long as you don't take their fish.
