I recently visited River Legacy Science Center, and I can confidently say that it is a haven for both kids and adults who appreciate the great outdoors. This place truly exceeded my expectations in every aspect.

First and foremost, the center's fall festivals are an absolute blast! The events are thoughtfully planned and engaging, offering a wide range of activities that cater to all age groups. From interactive exhibits to hands-on experiments, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn from. The staff members are knowledgeable and passionate, making the experience even more enriching.

One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the nature trails. These trails are a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers alike. The trails are well maintained, offering a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors. Walking along these paths, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the beauty of the surrounding flora and fauna. The serene atmosphere and the variety of wildlife sightings made it an unforgettable experience.

What sets River Legacy Science Center apart is its dedication to education and conservation. The center provides valuable educational resources and programs that promote environmental awareness and appreciation. It's not just about having fun; it's about learning and understanding our natural world. This commitment to education truly shines through in all aspects of the center's offerings.

Whether you're a parent looking to engage your kids in hands-on learning or an adult seeking a rejuvenating outdoor experience, River Legacy Science Center is the perfect destination. The combination of exciting festivals, well-kept nature trails, and a strong emphasis on education make it a standout attraction. I highly recommend visiting this remarkable place and experiencing the wonders of...

We have loved River Legacy for the weekly Nature School Program, and summer camps! The staff are really nice, and my son loves his teachers. I think the new renovations are nice, but I remember them raising a LOT of money to do them, and when we visited for the first time, we were not impressed. If you remember the old way it looked, you will recognize many of the same things behind the glass doors, not much has changed. I mean, they raised MILLIONS, and the toys out front are even the same older toys still. The center also used to be free of charge, and now costs $5 per child and $3 per adult. Honestly, I didn't see much for my 6 year old or his friend to do, as we were charged full price to go in, but the one thing that might've made it worth it, the interactive screens in the back, had been broken for 3 weeks (they only told us that after we paid the entry fees and got up to the door to go in). That was a bummer. There were three things to do in the entire place; bird-watch by the windows, look at a few things through one of two microscopes, or dance around on an interactive floor section that stayed the same during our entire visit. There were lots of things to read, but the kids weren't interested in all of the information cards all over, they wanted things to DO. I feel like we expected a lot more out of such an expensive renovation project, and don't see the need to charge for what's in the new area. It's $100 per year for a membership, but Perot is only $20 more per year and offers far superior exhibits. I can't see where the money went, or why there is a charge to get in now, and even a person sitting outside, guarding...

WE LOVE RIVER LEGACY'S NATURE SCHOOL! If you are looking for a truly meaningful enrichment activity for your small or older child, THIS IS IT. The school is in the Living Science Center--beautiful architecture, caring, knowledgeable & degreed educators and naturalists who are inspired by what they do. (The school is accredited by the Nat'l Association for the Education of Young Children [NAEYC]). The program evolves with your child, beginning 1x week (ages 3 - 5) through the school year, then offering an after-school club (preK-6th grade) so growing kids can continue their nature education. It also offers a HOME SCHOOL enrichment nature education program. And SUMMER CAMPS are magical. River Legacy's Living Science Center offers Saturday nature programming for us older students.; ) (Want to build a rain barrel, a raised bed garden or go on a guided nature walk?...) We are SO LUCKY to have RIVER LEGACY'S NATURE SCHOOL in our town. GET OUT THERE AND VISIT! Located where N. Cooper dead-ends into NW Green Oaks Blvd., in...

🐾 I had the best day ever at River Legacy Park in Arlington! 🌳 It was my first time visiting the park. I explored the beautiful trails, crunched through colorful leaves 🍂 and took in all the amazing sights. Everything was so beautiful, especially with the fall colors all around. I had so much fun! 🐶❤️ . . . #PawsitivelyBlaze #AdventuresWithBlaze #RiverLegacyPark #FallFeels #DogDays #NatureLovingPup #BlazeExplores #DogLife #TexasDogLife #DallasPup #TXPup #DFW #TexasLife #TexasDog #BlazeAdventure #DogLife #DogLover #PawsomeVibes #PawsitiveVibes #PawsitivelyHappiness #doggielife #cockapoo #cockapoocommunity #dogsoftiktok @River Legacy Nature Center #dogfriendly #itsadogslife

The staff make this place great. This a good place to bring your kids for 1 hour or so but the staff (especially Lisa) are SO helpful, kind, and rich in animal knowledge that it makes it worth a visit. The living science center is quaint and located by short nature paths (less than 10 min walk) by a scenic pond. Inside the science center there are mostly amphibians and reptiles to view behind glass. The discovery room itself (which costs $5) is a little small but a great enclosed place to let your kids run (responsibly) free for 30 minutes with relaxed observation. There are some fun physically engaging video games that help children learn more about animals.

We went to learn and boy did we! The naturalist showed the kids some snakes and turtles and she was a wealth of information about them. 45 minutes of instruction was a little long for the younger kids in our group but perfect for the older kids. I would say bring an interesting activity for your younger children to do once they tune out of the long talk. The science center itself is delightful and every corner is interesting. Every single employee was friendly and seemed to like kids. Our homeschool group was very satisfied with River Legacy as a field trip. Definitely try to go in nice weather because the trails are great.
