I found this to be a nice quiet place to walk and unwind from some stress. Both the view of the river and the sound of the wind blowing through the trees were quite relaxing. There are no playgrounds, just walking trails and still views of the Meramec River. The path from one trailhead to the next is 2 miles. Another trail that diverts from the paved path is a little over one mile. There a couple benches along the way. This provided a wonderful spot for an early Saturday morning quiet time to sit and pray. Several people were walking/jogging, riding bicycles, and walking dogs.

This trail is a level, asphalt-paved path through mostly shady woods with some of the path close to I-55 that's in direct sun. There are also a couple of offshoot trails that are natural and can add mileage. I liked this trail with it's frequent views of the Meramec River. There's also the plus of a portapotty at the beginning of the path with another at the 2-mile turnaround point.

Spent the day with my nephew and since it was nice out, we picked this trail for an easy walk. We enjoyed this paved, nicely shaded trail although he accidentally stepped in some neglected dog waste. There were benches and lookout points to see the river, and lots of butterflies around. Seemed like plenty of parking. If you take your dog please pick up after them!

Trailhead to trailhead is exactly two miles (4 miles there and back) . If you are training for a 5k or 10k, this a great place to quantify your run time. Be aware that the Greenway is quick to flood in the spring thus causing park closures and/or the trail to be blocked by water at the halfway point. The fire roads jut off the paved trail and are great for walking the dogs in...

This is a great trail that is mostly flat, but some of it is in the river bottom and floods. When the water recedes, it can be a little smelly. But the Park Services keep the paved path relatively clean. The west parking lot was recently repaved, and is nicer to park on than the old rock lot with pot holes. The path is 2 miles end to end, and is not a loop, so out and...
