This was such a welcome discovery. I have stopped by the dealership several times to look at their inventory of classic cars, but had not been there when the new museum was open (thanks to Covid19). I had just painted my boat and had nothing much to do until the paint had dried and decided to see if the museum was open. What a great medium-size automobile museum. They have several of my favorite classics, including a Tucker, a Model T, a Cord, and a racing Hudson Hornet. The cherry on top of this sundae was discovering both a 1964 Ford Falcon and a 1964 Corvair -- my first two cars -- for sale. I didn't buy them, but just being reminded of things like how big the "compact" Falcon was in comparison to today's cars, and how low the Corvair was to the ground.
Most of the cars in the museum are just gorgeous with some crazy colors and brilliant paint, but a couple are "as-delivered," including the Model T. And the people working there are so helpful, including offering to open the hood (in the rear, but hardly a trunk) of the Tucker so I could see the helicopter engine they used.
Just a great, nostalgic afternoon, and highly recommended.
UPDATE. I've been back several times since I posted this, and it is still a 5 star visit for me. I've taken several people with me, including a 94 year old relative and my wife, and they both loved it as well, so it's not just...
Read moreWe drove a hour and a half away and wow! This place is fantastic! This place is any car lovers dream! The museum is filled with millions of dollars worth of cars from all over the world! I was a little skeptical about spending 50$ on 2 people but it was totally worth every penny! Mason personally made our experience fantastic! He spent nearly 3 hours with us showing us every single car and was extremely knowledgeable about almost every car ! My dad was excited to see the famous tucker and it sadly wasn’t on the show room floor. Mason went above and beyond and let us into storage room so my dad could see the tucker and many other cars in storage! Mason even opened the hoods of the cars and let us get a great visual of every little details! The costumer service is fantastic! The store is a little small and expensive but the cars are amazing! Definitely full of rare gems that you will never see anywhere else! The Tucker is extremely rare and worth millions alone! The back to the future car is extremely cool along with bikes and cars from the 1900s. We spent hours at this place and will definitely be returning next year when they add and rotate the cars ! Thank you for the great experience! Highly...
Read moreWhat a very unique collection. They had some very rare cars, including a Tucker 48 and some mid-century Chrysler products with hand built Italian bodies. The staff knows every detail about each car and is more than happy to answer any questions. The gift shop has a lot of really cool books and toys. There's something for everyone. Reasonable prices too. On-site is a classic cars sales and service center as well, that has some very desirable cars for sale from all the eras. I had such a great time just admiring all the special vehicles, especially the Tucker, which I had been wanting to see for nearly 20 years. If you're ever in the area and are into cars, this...
