Murray Family Farms — Attraction in Arvin

As always, they make and serve some of the best meat pies ever. The crust is perfect and flaky and the meat is juice and so yummy. Anytime I or anyone I know is near here, I send them for some Oakie Pies. The staff is always helpful and very nice. I generally also get a bottle of wine, just because….and the salesperson has never leads wrong with a great selection. I also got some peanut butter fudge…..y’all need to stop it! Some of it did NOT make it home. Just saying….stop making trays so delicious and they may be will make it home. They are easy to find off the freeway and have PLENTY of parking. All types of novelty candy, nuts, dehydrated EVERYTHING, jams, jellies, just everything you can imagine. This is a place the entire family can find something to enjoy on their road trip and sit outside under one of their beautiful trees in the shade enjoying your treats. Take some Oakie Pies to go too! We've been stopping here on our annual trips from Seattle to Nevada for years. This was our 1st time seeing their pumpkin patch & Halloween 🎃 event. Very well put together, LOTS of pumpkins in every size shape & color. The people who run Murray Farms are so kind and patient and with the amount of children and families running around you must pack your patience as well. My ONLY complaint was inside the store they super limited on ANY produce period. Not time for citrus yet, but had zero cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes or other veggies & fruits for purchase. Being a farm you would think they would have things year around? Only had prepackaged hot sauce, picked things & bottled drinks. And their deli which was also very limited. Maybe hire a food truck ? Otherwise this place is a must stop on...

oh my God oh my god oh my God. Most wonderful fresh fruits I've ever eaten. The figs were beyond amazing. I've never had figs so sweet and perfect and beautiful inside in my life. I was told they were "experimental green figs" and grown just on the other side of the parking lot - truly "local"! We ended up going back in and get a second container of the figs they were so good.

We also got some peach/plum/apricot combo fruit (sorry, don't remember what they were actually called) and they were very sweet and amazing. We also got two Okie pies, Salsa Verde which was, according to my brother "one of the most delicious things he's ever eaten" and the blueberry pulled pork. Both excellent!
