Great Visitors Center with plenty of parking and a couple of picnic tables. On the far end of the parking lot, you'll find the access to the trails - a short 1.5 mile loop hike (TRACK Trail) and access to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST). The TRACK Trail is easy, small hills, several steps and you get to go through a short tunnel beneath the Parkway. The Center provides great info on the Parkway while, nearby, you can find the NPS Headquarters building but is not open to the public.

Very informative visitor center and a good place to learn about the sights and culture of the area. There are a few trails near the center where you can hike. You will have to take a drive to experience the different sites in the Heritage area because it is fairly large. Music, crafts, festivals, agriculture, historic sites.

Great place..we hike everyday along different parts of the trail system..we love living here in Asheville. Stop and check out the maps and trail system for a hike that is perfect for you. Please don't miss it.

We wish we had enough time to drive the whole parkway. We drove about an hour and a half south and turned around. It was a absolutely beautiful view. Plenty of places to pull off to soak in the view and to take pictures. Stopped in a little shop along the way. Definitely would...
