I have been coming here since I was a kid. At least 18 years now. I loved it as a kid, a teenager, an adult and now I bring both my daughters here. It is the only place I will bring my children to swim. It is beautiful, clean, and quiet. There are miles of trails, a private and public beach, a boat ramp and you can hike, kayak, canoe, paddleboard, swim or go fishing. There are a few separate islands that you can swim to or kayak to. The park is dog friendly and it is awesome to see how many people enjoy this place just as much as I do. I am also glad I have brought the tradition of coming here into my kids lives and they get so excited when we come! You can spend the entire day here or just come for a short period of time....

The lot attendant wouldn't let my elderly parents try to find a spot in the close lot even though people may have left so they had to park very far away and walk through the woods. There were about six different large groups with large speakers blasting their music, it was awful. Couldn't think of gear or talk to my group so we left fairly quickly. Swim area was too crowded to swim. I wish there were staff regulating noise and number of people in the water. It's gotten really ghetto so probably...
Read moreThis is a nice and convenient state park and have good numbers of parking lots. There are number of barbecue grills available and allowed to bring in charcoal. There are designated spaces for swimming and water is also pretty clean. There is a public toilets available and parking is not free. And the park is accessible for wheelchair. The park authority also come in between to collect trash from you and that is really nicer. You can bring in your boats and that would add up you fun. A good place for a day...
