MOWDY RANCH MUSTANGS - Appt Only — Attraction in Ashland

We spent a wonder 24 hours at Mowdy Ranch starting with a tour (by 4X4) of the pastures in the very capable hands of Jerry who gave us a tremendous insight into the history and current situation of the mustang breed. We later cooked our evening meal in the very fully equipped kitchen and dining area and ate our meal outdoors by the firepit as we listened to nothing but the sound of the wood cracking in the flames and the evening song of insects in the fields around us. Then a couple of beers and a few games of pool in the beautifully apportioned bar and off to bed in the very sumptuous suite with all desired facilities. Our only (deep) regret is that we had only allocated one day as part of a roadtrip to spend here. Amazing Experience!! I know my children (ages 19 to 9) were not as excited as I was, but they too had a great time! From the moment I called to book a tour I was greeted with such hospitality. Jerry was Awesome!! He gave us both the back story and the front. We all really enjoyed his stories about the ranch and horses. Our tour exceeded all of our expectations! I'm sure we saw over 200 horses and were even able to pet a few. The ranch alone is a site to see. So peaceful and pretty! This truly was an experience of a lifetime and my only regret is that I didn't book a stay at their beautiful lodge. Next time for sure!! Thank you...

Mowdy Ranch is one of the most special places we have ever been. My kids and I love it. This is in large part because of the incredible warmth of the hosts, Kit & Clay. It's also because everything was so comfortable and perfect (attached is a photo of the "pub" right at the lodge, where guests are invited to make themselves at home). The ranch itself is a treasure - a vast, peaceful, gorgeous spot on earth that I plan to return to again and again. We loved seeing the beautiful wild mustangs thriving in their eco-sanctuary.
