The Sage Farmhouse — Attraction in Aston Township

This place is charming and I ultimately enjoyed the event I went to there, but had it been a week or two closer to my back surgery, we would have had to have turned right back around. No handicap parking, (probably not legal) no handicap bathroom, and single steps between all the various rooms. Not to mention, the whole thing is on a hill so there’s literally no parking that isn’t a black Diamond to reach the front door. I’m not sure how all these reviewers all don’t have at least one friend or family member who isn’t able-bodied? Good for them? Or perhaps they just didn’t notice the lengths their guest had to go in order to go to the bathroom. Whatever the case may be- as a temporarily handicap person, I think it’s incredibly unfortunate they don’t have an accessibility page for guests or likely don’t discuss the lack of accessibility with their clients ultimately leaving guests like me to arrive surprised and possibly humiliated- humiliation being the one thing that really takes the cake is no grab bar to get off of the toilet. It truly is unfortunate that my experience was ultimately clouded with thoughts of “how am I going to be able to…” because it is quite quaint, but considering the reviews here and the website, it’s clear that this venue has no intension of being more accommodating and less ostracizing. My husband and I had a short engagement and Sage made our dream wedding a reality. Kim did our initial tour and was so helpful and informative. Dana was so kind, responsive, organized, professional and AMAZING at her job in helping to plan the details. I truly did not have a single worry in the planning process because she was so on top of everything. Aileen was our day of coordinator and the day ran unbelievably smooth because of her. She kept us running on time and went above and beyond that day. She had a sixth sense somehow and knew when we needed her and was there before we could ask where she was. I cannot thank the ladies at Sage enough for their services and expertise. Months later and we still have our family members and friends say our wedding was the best they’ve been to! Drew from Cricket catering was so responsive and puts together an amazing menu. His staff that was dedicated to the day running smoothly. Everyone raved about the food at our wedding! If you’re thinking about Sage for your wedding or event, I promise you won’t regret...

From start to finish The Sage Farmhouse was excellent. Dana was extremely helpful, patient, and friendly. She spent multiple phone calls and sent emails answering questions, helping us figure out details, and providing creative solutions to accommodate our wants and needs. On the wedding day, she provided a few different options for inclement weather, helped troubleshoot unforeseen issues, managed some last minute changes, and worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure our wedding day ran smoothly. All the decor was set up exactly as I’d specified ahead of time. Aileen and Dana both stayed throughout our entire wedding and worked tirelessly in the background to create a successful day. A few of our wedding party and family members mentioned both Aileen and Dana were easy to work with and very “on it.” Not to mention the venue itself is very beautifully landscaped and charming.
