Beautiful little church that has been around for a century, have had weddings, watched a movie being made and have stopped there over the last 35 years. It's for sale right now but hopefully someone will purchase it and keep it as a place of worship for all to enjoy. Great place for a tailgate lunch on your way to the beach, or to stop and fish for salmon or steelhead, perch, halibut, rockfish, crab or...

This is a great little stop on your way down 101. You can easily see the whole thing in half an hour to an hour. There are several interesting historical markers about the Chinook and their history with US and its early settlers.

PROTIP: The main section of middle village is a big loop, when it branches off go towards the rear of the church first. Otherwise the markers will be out of order...

Right off the main road so there is a lot of traffic noise but nonetheless it's still a great place to come visit. There is a short trail that wraps around the St Mary's Gowan Church. There is a lot a neat boardwalk trail that also is wheel chair accessible. It's a beautiful place that has a lot of information about the area. No...

Middle Village (previously known to historians as Station Camp) contains rich archaeological evidence of a Chinook village. The same spot was later used as a campsite for the Lewis and Clark Expedition after the Chinook had moved to a different location. The Middle Village Park has an interpretive walk with signs and some interactive activities at each stop. It tells the story of the Native Chinook who lived at Middle Village, and also about their interactions with the Lewis and Clark Expedition. #lewisandclark #corpsofdiscovery #nationalhistoricsite #nationalhistoricalpark #visitwashington #nationalparks #historytok @DinkumTribe ADHD family travel @DinkumTribe ADHD family travel @DinkumTribe ADHD family travel

I thought this was just another rest stop. It was more. There’s a lot of history tucked away off this beaten path and I won’t even share it here . But I hope that anyone traveling from Oregon to Tacoma , up the coast , to take the right after the bridge instead of left and just check this place out . Caught it at sunset and it was magic .
