We visited MEA a second time in two years based on our first experience and our failed plan to hold their excellent win for a while. While back on the West Coast we took the opportunity to introduce friends to the winery and reunite with the wine maker John. John is an excellent host introducing his wines, describing the inspiration for each, and describing it's journey from field to fine wine. Amongst the entertainment you will learn about John and experience his spirit of experimentation. This is not your normal wine tasting and that makes it special. You might not like everything thing you try, you may find a new love with one of his more adventurous blendings, or just be able to admire what he has to offer as a single varietal or classic expression. There is something for everyone at MEA and this winery should be on your central coast dance card. Be sure to try his Tempranillo

After a long weekend of wine tasting at multiple wineries, we had a chance meeting with John from Mea at the art gallery in Paso. We grabbed his business card after trying his Albariño wine. On our way out of town, we were able to go to his tasting room and try the rest of his delicious wine! We ended up loving them all and brought home 8 bottles of different wine! By far, it was our favorite of the whole trip! We joined the wine club and can’t wait to go back! Thank you so much for your hospitality and fantastic wine! See you soon!

My wife and I visited MEA Wine today, and we both think it's a fantastic place! The wines are excellent, but the owners make this place unique. They are super friendly and make all their guests feel at home. We left the winery with a selection of handmade whites and reds and armed with a few nuggets of wine knowledge. We'll revisit MEA in the future for sure! The attached photo shows a bottle of MEA's Syrah-Tempranillo blend we opened just after arriving home:) It tastes amazing!

Me and my girlfriend checked out MEA on Easter Sunday, the owners Daniela and John were amazing and super friendly even giving a list of places to check out since we were in the area for few weeks.

The wine selection was spectacular. From the red to whites and back to reds. All the wines had there own personalities and great notes that really helped expand our wine palette.

Our 3 favorites we tried from the tasting were the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2019 Vermentino & 2019 Chardonnay. Went home with a bottle of each.

There 2019 Chardonnay was hands down the most enjoyable Chardonnay I have ever drank.

We also got a tour of the facilities and sampled a few of there newer wines they recently bottled to be aged.

Great people, great wines and great pup. Would highly recommend checking them out...

My husband and I (and our 6 year old) stumbled upon MEA wine after a long drive up the coast from San Diego. We were planning on camping in Atascadero for the night and wanted to relax for a bit before heading to our camp spot. I looked up wineries nearby that were open and saw MEA so we decided to give it a shot and we were both so glad we did! We both did a tasting and were pleasantly surprised at how much we loved each wine we tasted. I am not a fan of Chardonnay but the MEA Chardonnay was good! The owners were extremely friendly and personable and explained how each wine was made. When my daughter became a bit antsy we were given a tour. We will definitely make MEA a place we stop anytime we are...
