Bring your lawn chairs and your picnic baskets. Just make sure of what you can bring in them. There is an elevator for use, which is really nice to get from the top gardens to the bottom gardens. There is a beautiful yet steamy tropical oasis to walk through from the inside welcome center. Art is displayed. Classes and lectures for all ages. AND an absolutely beautiful Chapel in the woods. Heavenly. It has a smaller more church like reception area. But. If you need some elegance and a something more formal, they have that too, plus a wedding coordinator. So. You won't be bored. And Christmas time is completely done up with lights and crazy decor. Libations, hot chocolate and music to get you into the holiday spirit, even if you are a prince! Can you tell I like this place?? Read moreWe attended the 9 pm viewing time on Dec 26th and it was great! Definitely worth paying for the extra parking so you don’t have to ride the shuttle bus. Of course having the shuttle is a great option to save money. Not crowded at all. Such a magical Christmas experience! S’mores stations and hot cocoa were available to purchase. We took our time walking and taking photos, it took us about 50 minutes. 2 of the people in our group had visited the Atlanta botanical gardens the week before.
