Rockin' N Ranch — Attraction in Athens Township

I've driven by many times & have seen horses out in questionable weather, but it hit home when a good friend sent 2 of her horses there for training. I saw her horses (as well as others) out in hot & humid weather, & there's NO shelter in the pastures they were in. Honestly, there's no shelter in any of the pastures that you can clearly see when driving by. To make things worse, they separated her 2 horses & put 1 of them out in a pasture with another horse without her consent. Not only did her horse get beaten up by the other horse, but he also lost a good amount of weight ..... all this, plus more, in just under a month. NOT professional nor how you run a horse business.

Edit to update: since this post as been made, I am happy to say that run in sheds appear to be in every pasture .... As they should be if you're going to leave horses outside during the day in the middle of summer and there's no natural shelter or...

We have been boarding our horse Cheyenne here for three years. Monty and Nancy treat each horse as if they were their own. Cheyenne has equine PPID which requires daily medication, Nancy always makes sure she has her medicine and helps with any special requirements she may need. Including helping to provide her dietary needs whether that be a dry lot or hay only diet. There is no other place we would want Cheyenne to be. Our daughter has also taken lessons with Nancy and she truly teaches not only riding but equine care and barn maintenance. Me and my now husband had the privilege of having our wedding at this venue. The Venue owners Nancy and Monte are beyond friendly and bent over backwards to make sure our day went perfect. The fairy lights they provide set the perfect mood light as well as the venue having amazing views no matter where you look. They also have a cabin on the property for rent, it was the perfect place to stay the night before and the of the wedding!
