Margot Hill — Attraction in Athens

Having my wedding at Margot Hill was a dream come true for me. It was so perfect from the piece of land where it sat to the most wonderful good hearted owners you could ever meet. Friends and family kept telling me, you will know when you find the venue for you and they were right. None of them had hit me like Margot Hill did when me and my now husband drove in through those front gates. There was something about the landscape that struck me. How this big beautiful home sat on top of the hill overlooking a big beautiful pond surrounded by luscious trees all around and how the venue itself faced the pond as well. After meeting Abby and talking to her about the venue, I knew this was my venue. I was in search for my perfect venue for about a month and had visited well over 30 venues before I came upon this one. I was by this point stressed out to say the least. I was afraid that I would never find the right venue but Margot Hill changed that for me. One of the many beauties about Margot Hill is the simplicity yet so elegance of it. I had so many compliments on how beautiful of a place I had chosen. Abby and Logan left an everlasting impression in our hearts and I could not have asked for more patient and good hearted souls to work with in this experience. They did so much more than just run a venue. They poured their hearts into it and it showed. They helped in making our day a perfect day. On December 30th, we got married at Margot Hill and it was the perfect wedding day.

From the moment I met Abby, I knew this is where I wanted to get married. As a wedding vendor myself, it was important to have vendors I felt connected to & that I felt like truly cared about our day being more than just another wedding. Abby was open to answering all of my questions and being open to our ideas. Even from her vacation, she was helpful in making sure our day was taken care of! Her venue staff, Sarah (aka Sparkleboots) was incredible and we fell in love with her & her husband. They could not have been sweeter or more helpful on our wedding day.

The property itself is beautiful and the chapel was perfect. We also used the house on the property which was on of my favorite parts. We stayed there the night before and had our styling team of hair/makeup artist come straight to the house to get us prepped! It had plenty of room for all of my bridesmaids to get ready comfortably and was a relaxing environment to start our day. My family stayed the night of the wedding, which was super convenient for them to clean up and walk to their AirBnB! The reception space was able to accommodate our large than expected guest list and fit everyone comfortably. I loved that it felt very intimate with everyone all close together!

I especially loved that there were many decoration items for us to choose from to incorporate into our day, that helped cut down on items we would have to rent. I was so appreciative of all of those things!

Abby - You were my absolute FAVORITE vendor. You constantly wowed me every step of the way with the whole wedding process. I honestly don’t feel like I would have had as great of a wedding if not for you and your amazing well of knowledge, kind and helpful spirit, and constant joy that made interacting with you so much fun. The simple act of your presence for the wedding day was sooo appreciated by my husband, family, and I. My husband and I continued to talk the rest of the night after the wedding of how appreciative we were of you and your husband to be present to help out with anything as needed for the wedding, interact with us and be present, and also share the joy with us. We cannot thank you enough that you took so many videos the day of the wedding of every special little detail, it was genuinely my husband and I’s favorite part. When we got home right after the wedding reception we watched all the videos and reminisced on the day and got to see all the amazing memories you captured, and that is something we will be thankful for for the rest of our lives.
