Staggering Unicorn Winery — Attraction in Athens

I love when a business takes a theme and absolutely runs with it and Staggering Unicorn is one of those places! From the decor, to the names of the wines, to the pens you use to check off your tasting choices, to the sparkling rainbow glasses, to the merchandise, to the seating (there is a unicorn chair you can sit in!), the owners know how to tastefully diffuse the unicorn magic throughout! They have a long list of fruit wines — some of which I have never heard of before — and the cost of a tasting was very reasonable. I had difficulty narrowing my choices down to only 6, and honestly I could come back and easily choose 6 more flavors and still not try them all! I picked some of this up at your vendor Booth during a flea market at the park by the Sayre hospital while I was in town visiting. What a lovely winery! Truly refreshingly different! Nothing made with grapes, except for raisins. All wine made with assorted fruits, herbs and raisins. The lime mint wine perfect for summer, cranberry wine a must for the fall, jalapeno raisin will keep you warm in the winter, and the peach (locally grown) will welcome spring nicely!
