I came here to pick up some construction equipment that was used for a their remodel and I was talking to the security guard at the gate when a older grey haired man with glasses, knife on his belt (I believed named Cody) approached my vehicle and very rudely and aggressively ran me off the property. I never argued with the man or behaved rudely towards him I simply told him I came 2 hours away to get here and was told it was ok to pick up our construction equipment today and he cursed at me and told me he didn’t give a ** and threatened to call the cops on me for no reason. Like how was I supposed to know they had an event going on? He then proceeded to put me in danger and try to make me back up on to a main road with heavy traffic. This man is very unprofessional and dangerous and should not be allowed to managed the property with...

Great family place. Admission price is reasonable or you can purchase a season pass. Very good displays of Texas fishing, fish culture and habitat along the ponds and in the museum. You can buy fish food and feed the fish in the exhibit ponds. At the casting pond you can fish for catfish, bluegill and rainbow trout. The fishing is free with rods, bait and instruction if you have never fished. The Game Warden’s museum is small but informative and Ken, the volunteer was great, answering questions and giving us detailed information. The wetlands trail exhibits were a bit overgrown and old but still informative. The tram tours were not running yet. Plenty of places to have a picnic and snacks at the gift shop. We spent 3 hrs here and...

My grandchildren and I had a wonderful day there. We first fed the fish in several aquariums. Then we visited the indoor theater where a guide told us about the different fish and then we went off on a short tram ride to overview the fisheries park. We stopped and got off at the nature trail where we enjoyed many different exhibits along the way depicting nature and animals of all sorts from the wetlands. Finally we stopped at the fishing pond where we had a blast catching six catfish. The young one's were awarded a certificate for first fish caught and also gifted with a wrist band. Did I mention the poles and bait were provided for and there were no additional costs. So for $20 the three of us had a wonderful morning...

Free fishing! You are provided everything you need to fish, including several stocked ponds. Barbs have been taken off hooks so it's safer, and no live bait to be squeamish over. The fish exhibits are well done, too, with plenty of variety of fish. You can buy fish food and feed them, so they come right up to the glass viewing windows when they see humans. The tram tour is short but informative and free (included in cheap entrance price), and the only way to see the growing ponds up close. We really should have budgeted more time here! Plenty to see and do.
