Fantastic area. I was not expecting this much beauty. We followed directions from Ricks Hiking blog, very accurate. The dirt road he mentions turning on at the Austin Trailhead is only for higher clearance vehicles. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and had no problem, yet lower riding cars will bottom out. We parked at the area on the ATV trail where people have apparently camped. There is the main falls, a few smaller ones, a rock chute area with another waterfall. Very nice. I'm sure the recent rains helped. Also, we saw a black bear and her two cubs, she was not happy to see us, yet we left her alone. She huffed at us yet did not otherwise seem aggressive.
