Decided on this pumpkin patch over Stuckys farm in Thorntown due to the price difference. Tickets are $9 each for all individuals over 2 years old. Or an option for $15 VIP tickets that include the paintball and apple canon station and you can mix and match. For example we bought three $9 tickets and two $15 tickets. Which I truely appreciated the ability to do this.
We have three kids 10, 4 & 3 and this patch was perfect for this age difference and range. This pumpkin patch had the perfect mix of all types of activities to wear the children out. A tennis ball launcher, tractor ride, big slide (my husband said it was better then park slides), a duck water race spot, and massive obstacle course, tractor tire "mountian", farm animals (chicken and goats) tricycle racing course, zip lines, sand pit, tether ball, bubble station, wood swings, pumpkin picture wall, corn kernel play area (our kids spent a solid 40 minutes here - great sensory spot), tunnel race course, hula hoop ring toss, paint ball and apple Canon station (cost extra for these two items and the apple Canon wasnt working when we attended). Then the pumpkin patch which was picked over and had a lot of busted or rooted pumpkins (no fault to the place just mentioning this fact), and then the corn maze. We didnt do due the corn maze due to the age range we had and the fact they were at the end of their energy levels on the verge of tantrums.
We picked pumpkins from their pre picked pumpkins sitting out. You have the option to walk and pick the pumpkins your self but, like mentioned above, the options in the pumpkin patch were slim due to the pumpkins being busted and rotten. The pumpkins cost $0.45 a lb or $0.55 a lb for the ornamental also ones and a flat $2 for the small ones.
For food and drinks, they were selling popcorn, and apple cider donuts. The donuts were freshly made and definitely worth a try. Apple cider slushy. I'm personally not a fan of slushies so I didnt try this but many people were drinking them. There is a small soda selection (coke, diet coke, spirit, root beer), water, root beer floats, and more I cant recall. My advice is make sure to at least take some snacks and drinks for the toddlers or children who need food/snacks more often.
Overall, this is a great patch to visit. For the most part, expections for a few, stations are self monitored. Stations are well spaced out, without it being overwhelming to walk around. Seating is offered throughout and there are shaded spots from nature or man made items. We didnt take our dogs because we weren't sure they were allowed but there were three different dogs while we were there so maybe. I still wouldn't take them because it would limit the ability for all family members to join in the activities because all the activities are...
Read moreGreat place! We've been coming here for several years now, and the newer ownership has really expanded the offerings. If you like the fun activities and selection of the big patches but don't like the crowds, this place is for you. Even on busy days, there's very little waiting. You can go out to the patch using their wagons or choose from pumpkins already picked. There's things for kids of all ages. It's less pricey than the bigger places, too. There's a great corn maze, corn cannon, tennis ball skiing, trike races, tetherball, smash a pumpkin, slides, gravity wagon basketball, a zipline, and lots of yummy snacks like apple cider donuts. My only caution is some of the activities seem a little dangerous. I grew up on a farm and these things were great fun and considered perfectly safe 30 years ago, but if you are used to things being very controlled then this might not be the place for you. I'm sure as they get more experienced that they will reduce some of the risks and safety concerns because you can tell they care about safety. Overall, we love this place!
2024 update: just wanted to say that many of the safety risks seem to have been mitigated. I'm still concerned about the stack of tires but maybe there's internal rods there that the rest of us don't see so take my concern with a grain of salt. Overall, this place is great family fun, even for the pre-teens and teens who get annoyed with...
Read moreHad a wonderful time here! My 15 y.o. even said he had fun. $9 to do all the activities. That will get you a bracelet and a ticket. The ticket allows you to do the apple cannon (so cool), you get 3 apples per ticket. They don't have a "store" they have a concession stand. Which serves hot, cold, and slushy cidar. Sells kettle corn, donuts, and nuts. They do sell other drinks like soda. Corn maze, apple cannon, sling shot with tennis balls, bubble station, slides, jungle obstacle course, grain train, tire play area, little zoo, water duck racing, picnic tables, hay tower, basketball, corn pit, bull hoola hoop, hamster wheel, zip lines are for less than 130 pounds. Tons of stuff to do. They also have pumpkins already picked, gourds, and a pick your own pumpkin patch. Great place to keep the kids busy and have some fall fun. Also have some adorable places to take...
