I was looking forward to patronizing this establishment last night, especially since it had great reviews. But, before going, I had attempted to call the telephone number posted for this business since the hours on Google were different than the hours stated on their website. There was no answer nor a greeting of any kind to let me know I had reached the right number for this establishment. So, I decided to trust the hours listed on Google and gathered up a few friends to head there for their happy hour (5pm - 8 pm). However, upon arrival at 7:00 pm the place was closed and the doors were locked. I called the number again and a woman answered the phone, saying hello. I responded hello and then she hung up. Thinking I may have dialed the wrong number, I verified the number I called with the number listed on Google. After confirming the number was correct, I texted the number along with a screenshot of the hours on Google and asked if the hours were correct. I received a response saying the hours listed on Google were correct, along with a question of why I asked. I responded I was just at the establishment and the doors were locked. I waited for a text response back, but there was no response from that point forward. So after some time, I responded that I would leave a review and so here it is.
It doesn't matter how great an establishment may present itself on social media, without good customer service to stand behind it, it's nothing more than glorified false advertisement. Things happen that may be beyond one's control, and I may have given this establishment another shot had the communication been effective of the closure. However, after the lack of a response or follow up to the door's been locked to the establishment, i will never patronize this business.
To the owner of this establishment, I expected better solely based on reviews from others. However, others reviews did not match the experience received last night. Reviews are key to having first time patrons patronize your business.
Also, I would suggest you establish a dedicated line with your business hours of operation and if the hours are correct on Google, please update your website with those hours to match. AND, if your business is closed for some reason, please state that on your dedicated line before having customers drive to your establishment to only find that the doors are locked and no one's there.
Lastly, learn how to effectively communicate when called upon to do so. My hope is at this review will be a lesson learned and that it will not happen to the next first timers wanting to stop by...
