The park has a trail starting adjacent to the pool. The SouthTowne Trail is a winding paved pathway perfect for biking or walking. Plenty of twists and turns. Although, you can't mindlessly walk with phone in hand, but that's a good thing. You can hear, & partly see, the streams through all the trees and kudzu. Birds are chirping everywhere, especially cardinals. This trail leads into the Swann Nature Preserve where they had a bridge closed. I was almost at the end, couldn't finish the trail, so I went off course, and found an eastern box turtle before I got to the stream. There are a lot of elevation changes, so it's a nice physical exertion, but at least there's plenty of shade. Saw a few deer prints in the mud, along with (possibly) coyote tracking it.

The trail is very nice but the park itself is a bit sketchy. A lot of homeless make the covered areas their residence. The playground, and all play areas for that matter, could use a good pressure washing. The baseball field looks nice but no rec sports are offered by this park. There's no public engagement from the city at this park. Which is unfortunate because our community needs it! Maybe a burger/hot dog day in exchange for the community to come out and clean up the park while meeting the neighbors. Just a thought...

We had some time to kill with a dog we were transporting to Atlanta International airport And wanted to give our passenger some time to run free before her long trip. The dog park was clean with easy access and close to our destination. Will use this park any time we are in the area. Only drawback was no access to public restrooms for us humans.

This place is and was a disaster. First when we arrived, there was trash piled high in the trash cans. When we started setting up the pool closed for about 15-20 minutes and all the kids piled over to the pavilion area, disrupting our reserved party. When asked to leave they left and brought back more teens, this time with guns. We all felt as if we were being held hostage. And they came in and through our rented space as if they were invited. This is the worts place to have anything. Please, please I employ you to stay away from this Pavilion. Don’t waste your time and money. I even had to...
