Well I originally gave this establishment five stars when Ms. Tammy was in there. She actually understood my situation being that we just moved here from NC and helped us with everything and every issue I had. She was always welcoming. She is actually the motivation I needed when I felt I wanted to give up with my progress. Well I know Iām two months late but I was raised to give a person an opportunity to reach out if they truly cared about your experience. November 10th I did as I was instructed and that was to wait to reserve a spot in Ms. Rhondas Cycling class only available Tuesdays. At that time I get her class had a lot of energy and Iām not just talking about what weāre draining but positive energy and the playlist is off the chain. It makes me wanna dance in my seat. Well I mentioned to my sister Tiffany who I convince to her to renew her membership during the struggle just so that I could have a wonderful time doing something I wanted to do because of the energy it brings and thought she would like the feel too. She ends up reserving her spot and all I can do is tell her she wasnāt gonna be sorry. We recently relocated to Newnan so we took our separate cars to drive 40 to 45 minutes to arrive. By time we arrived it had to be about 7:03 but we were told we had a ten minute grace period so we ran upstairs and as we noticed that she was playing the warmup music we went to the bathroom. When we came back out we stood there waving maybe hoping she would see so we wouldnāt interrupt but she didnāt notice. Another instructor in the room came out and I had bought to his attention that we want trying to interrupt her but we wanted to go in and would need her help to position the seat. He was sweet! He walked back in and got her. As she came out she already seemed as if we were a bother. He explained to her that we had drove from Newnan where we reserved spots and they were gonna need her assistance she stated it was only one bike. I mentioned that we reserved for this class that means someone in there that didnāt and she said well we shouldāve been on time š so how do you think I felt on my birthday. Literally she seemed as if she didnāt have any cares in the world. She didnāt even take the time to maybe figure out who it was to ask them to leave she just told us it was our lost. I tried reaching out to the Y and was told they would inform Christopher. Well two months later the young lady that was scheduled early morning each day in November who was sweet never gave Chris any of my messages because I took it upon myself to email him. That was after I get an email about me receiving a hustle shirt that I didnāt hustle in his establishment for. š¤¦š¾āāļø He emails me back as if he was concerned and wanted to speak with me about my visit but I havenāt heard back. I just wanna know what is the point? What is the point for members to reserve and not take the reservation procedure correctly?? If that is the case donāt make members do a reservation and state first come first serve but I just felt I wanted to share with yāall the treatment I received after having such high expectations for someone and a place to completely embarrass me. US!! Really because she was hesitant from the start to even renew because she wasnāt going to go like that anyway so I wish someone since it seems to be hard to talk to someone help me understand the proper way to reserving and attending a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdated review: After several staff changes, including some of the most absolute wonderful people in Atlanta (Mr.Kirk, Ms. Jackson, Ms. Jessica, Mrs. Christine (in the play room), Mr. Joey, and Coach Isaac) this place has completely turned around. I happily go and pay for my membership and have signed up for more activities for my son. The lady mentioned in my first review no longer makes an appearance or make the Y feel unwelcoming. My son loves the staff and the activities. We love our Y and we are so thankful for changes made! The health fairs that the Y puts on has legitimately saved my life. I have found care for my health issues and am looking forward to being able to live longer and healthier all because of this YMCA and the staff there.
9/22 I have had issues with this YMCA a few times and even paused my membership prior due to the frustrations I have had in the past, but besides my formal complaint I am writing here to warn others of the lady at the reception that is EXTREMELY rude. She is a bigger lady, bald, and scoffs at everything you say. She was rude on Sunday when I came in to check on my membership that I had renewed. I came in before closing which is on me, but laughed and said "oh no i have the worse timing" and she said scoffed and she rolled her eyes. She then was rude again today when my husband went to Martial Arts with my child and she hassled us about him not having a membership so he couldn't take him to Karate. First, you don't NEED a membership to buy any of the programs at the YMCA. I had my membership on pause for a LONG while and for the last few months that my son has been doing Karate. She said "oh they just let you do whatever then huh" with an attitude and another scoff. I told her my husband wasn't going to be getting a membership just to sit up there and be his guardian for karate. My son and I both have an active membership that we will be cancelling when this month is over. She told me "why would you even send him here and pay for his training without doing a membership" and rolled her eyes. That's FINE, you're right, WHY WOULD I go there with staff like you. The residents of this area deserve better than your desire to make other's lives harder. Please do something else with her rather than front facing with customers or have her move on with her life because this is NOT the right...
Ā Ā Ā Read moremy stay here was HELLACIOUS!!!! It looks really nice online but to move in and live after business is another thing. The staff is really unorganized and I am always walking out of there with a bad disposition. Let me bring you up to speed and give you somethings to consider about the VILLAGES AT CARVER. I asked if these apartments were section 8 and they said NO. The have a thing called MARKET and TAX Credit rates that you pay. SO this is what kinda of croud you get....you get single moms who are at work (2nd and 3rd shift), while there teens and kids run WILD....and I mean you think you are in the WILD WILD WEST (this is the Westside...smh). Gang activity spills over into the complex from the highschool. I have seen more yellow crime scene investigation tape in the past year than I have seen my entire 29yrs on the earth. My car was vandalized by a young adolescent (12yr old) in my building and then threatend my 5 yr old when she proceed to tell me. The stakes are so high I was afaid to report it because of retaliation. Not to mention, the leasing company wants to bargin with me about not charging me a fee for not giving them a full 60 day Notice if I write out a statement. They should have the incident a report right Their "security" was there along with the police. Really. The kids are HORRIBLE!!!! I cant really say I blame MOMs but I think you should reVAMP work schedules so they are present in the home when the teens & kids are as well...or maybe they, the leasing office should start pre-screening people concerning this when making a desicsion. The Villages at Carver....should be called the The Villages of the Damn!!! September 30 2012 I AM OUT OF HERE!!! And to think I am paying almost 1000 and my neighbor is paying not even 1/2 of that. YOU DONT WANT TO LIVE AROUND THE CROWD....I...
