Our wedding was September 7, 2014 and it was beautiful! Everything went smoothly and according to plan EXCEPT Connie King. I went with this vendor because she was polite and returned my calls and emails promptly...until she got our deposit of $500. After that, she became demanding and overbearing and continued to mention how "accommodating" they were yet would not allow me to do most of what I wanted to decorate to make the space ours for the day. Any services we asked for that should have been no issue always came at a price. I even planted my own grass because she doesn't take good care of the property. As she said many times to different things I brought up, she couldn't afford it. As a customer and bride, the last thing I need from the owner of my wedding venue is to hear about her money problems. We ordered sirloin tips as one of the meal choices and it came out looking like dog food and was all chopped up into little bits with a TON of mushrooms. Mushrooms were not in the description of the meal and had I known that was going to be the majority of the food, I would not have chosen it. Connie promised she would have pretzels and popcorn out during cocktail hour (which I why I did not order hors d'oeuvres) yet I found out they were not put out for people to eat at all. The ATM had no money in it even though it was a cash only bar. Connie agreed to have the tables and chairs with the chair covers we purchased all set up and ready by the time our wedding started at 4:30pm. We made this arrangement because she was planning on having her staff setting up the chairs outside at 3:30 and the way we wanted them we were not comfortable that they would be finished by the time guests started arriving. We made it clear to her more than once (as did my mom) that we did NOT want any set up happening while guests were there at all. When I returned to Lost Valley at 6:15 from Bates College for our photos I found out she was just finishing putting the chair covers on. I gave Connie an itinerary that our DJ/MC made yet she was still following me around trying to get me to do things in the order SHE wanted although she was told specifically that if there was a problem she needed to speak to my mom or the DJ. The water and napkins were removed from all the tables before the cake was served so our guests had dessert and were dancing but had nothing to drink. She stood in front of my mom and another guest when my husband and I were cutting our cake so they couldn't even see. My Aunt found a small but deep depression in the floor that was not marked and ended up falling and braking her wrist in 3 places and chipped a bone. She was taken by ambulance to the ER and has since undergone surgery. There was no last call at the bar so when my husband and I went to get a drink, the bar was shut and the bartender turned us away. All that was left was a small pitcher of water and some plastic cups...classy! When we paid the final balance the check was accidentally made out for $40 extra so my dad told her to put in on a bar tab for me and we didn't use it and she didn't return the money. She stole from my dad! A couple weeks before the wedding I also had to ask her to clean the vents in the ceiling because they were covered in a layer of filth and I didn't want that falling onto guests plates while they were eating. I would stay away from this place. She is a control freak and a poor business owner, which is probably why she is begging for donations to keep the place open. The relatively cheap price of this place is not worth the headache of dealing with the run down...

This ski resort is really a wonderful place. It has runs for all ages and abilities. We have come up here for several years as a family to ski. My kids have taken lessons here and have enjoyed the instructors. The instructors have been patient with them and been eager to help them learn. The new management works with the local school districts and gives opportunities for kids to come up after school and Ski or snowboard. This really is a terrific combination and our kids look forward to it each and every year. They have three lifts. You can quite easily access the entire Mountain using any one of these three lifts. You can either ski or snowboard here. There are also special classes for cross-country skiing and they also have an inner tube run. The accommodations here are convenient in that all of the lessons, rentals, ticket purchases and concessions are all in the same location. One of the earlier reviews mentioned that the bathrooms are on the lower level. This is true however, it has never been a deal-breaker for us. I figure any bit of exercise I get adds to the exercise I'm getting while skiing or boarding. The lodge has ample space to relax or eat meals as a family. The tables are quite large and can accommodate a good number of people. They do have a small Cafe and they offer hot foods. The food is decent tasting but a bit on the pricey side. It certainly Works in a pinch. They do have a full bar here and the crowd gets pretty lively at night. All in all we really love this mountain resort and will continue to ski here each and every year. If this review helped, please hit...

If you are looking for a ski resort this is not.your place. If you are looking for a local mountain with some extras then Lost Valley is for you. They have beginner to black diamond level trails, a ski pub, rentals, lessons, and helpful staff. I was overjoyed by the "chill" atmosphere here. This is definitely a mountain for familys beginning their ski journey, but also for college friends getting together for fun and a few beers. Everyone was super patient and helpful from the young woman at the ticket counter when we noticed I purchased Tickets and rental gear for different days! To the rental workers who made sure we had everything we needed. But I think I was most impressed by the ski lift operators. My son wiped out just before getting on the lift and then the next time he he somehow.missed the lift and was hanging ( like 2 inches off the ground), but they handled everything with patience, grace and kindness.it was a wonderful experience and I...

Lost Valley Brewpub is a really cool, laid back place. It is nested in the ski resort lodge so it can be a bit busy, but the vibe is fun and rustic. I tried the LVB craft beer on tap They had the Otter, Baby Otter and another that I can't remember the name. They were an East Coast IPA, a Session IPA and a Belgian Wit style, respectively. I didn't try the food so I can't speak on that but the place was low key, bar staff were friendly and patrons were approachable.

Ski lessons today. Snoguns were plasting snow high in the background all morning. What a friendly, cozy spot. The lines were short. The lessons were great. She had a blast. After we went in the lodge. Easy rental and return. We also hydrated and nourished at the snack bar. Nothing too exciting to report from the snack bar. Well the cookies looked good but I went for a predsel. Parking was good. Even the drive in was nice. The scenery is really nice.
