My son was so excited to go to Au he went to play football. My husband I went to vist it and meet the football coaches. I was very excited because we lived in Wisconsin and he was going to be on his own for the first time. I trusted the coaches saying that we will take care of your kids like they were are own. So that was the day he went on his over night stay. The next day I called my son and asked him if he was ready to be picked up I could tell something was wrong. So we went to get him and found out that the person he was staying with got arrested for DUI. Of course I was like what the hell but I was like ok but again this goes back to what the coach said they are like my kids. The coach never came up to my husband and I and said anything about it.So then he goes off to AU for football camp so that is Two weeks before school starts. So we go and vist my son one week end and find out that some girl hide booze in his room and her purse was in there also. We went to the police on campus and he was like well thank you etc. He said that the dean will talk to him about this. So in the mean time my son is 18 and he had some friends that week end when this happened at the dorm but he wasn't there. So a couple days go by and I get a call from my son telling me he is getting kicked out of the dorms. I was like what we did everything they told us to do by telling who the girl was who had the booze etc. So I get on the phone with the dean and he tells me that the booze was in his room and he had girls who were 18 years of age in his room. I am like Sir the booze was not his though we brought it to you guys and told you who it was who put it there. He was a nasty person. I wanted to say to him which I think I am still going to write a letter to Au about this whole thing. Really I let my son go on a over night stay the next day I find out that one of the popular football players got arrested for a DUI but this happens and he gets kicked out of the dorms. Seriously! It is a very expensive school and they don't help you with anything. It was like pulling teeth to get the financial aide department to help you. It was a big disappointment for his first first experience of college. Do not let you kids go here they will let you down! Thanks coach Ponx you sure were...

Not many recent reviews here. I got my BSN here. The school is a smaller private university. My classes were just the right size where you can get to know all of your classmates and professors. However, some of the professors were unprofessional in their teachings, so I’m not sure how they were qualified to teach. There were also magnificent professors that would go out of their way in order to see you succeed.

Parking was atrocious before but I’m glad they have a parking garage now. I wished they would have had that when I was in school pre covid. It would have saved me lots of aggravation from finding a parking space. Yeah, there were many times that if you didn’t get there early enough then you would be searching for parking in the nearby neighborhoods. They had many lots before but they got filled up way too fast.

Cafeteria was very decent. The food they served was good, average quality but a nice variety. The labs for doing your nursing skills were superb. The simulation dummy was very helpful and modern. It was used to help you understand how a real patient would be. The clinical sites they sent us ranged from hospitals to nursing homes to schools. The downside is they would send me to Rockford one day and then Chicago the second day. They should have organized it a lot better. Clinical instructors for the most part were very compassionate and attentive in their guidance. The ATI program they used was worthless and not a very good tool for helping nursing students. That was a waste of money in my opinion. I didn’t even use it when studying it for my license.

Tuition was expensive for each semester. For the amount of money they charged, they should have brought in the parking garage sooner and better quality food. I commuted so I didn’t have to stay in the dorms. Overall I give...

Listen to me, for your own good to NOT go here! This place made me so depressed and they did not care about me at all. It was so expensive i could barely afford to eat, my financial counselor told me thats normal. The computer science program is HORRIBLE. you'll be lucky to find a job after (i literally had a perfect 4.0 gpa and still struggled for a full year to get a job). theres so much more i could say but it actually triggers me to type it and remember how bad it was. please take my advice and go elsewhere. save your mental health. if i can at least stop one person from going maybe my heart will heal even...
