I first saw fancy shmancy confections in Las Vegas like in Bellagio or somewhere, probably also in NYC, Miracle Mile, etc., I was like, eh. So I bought some to indulge my wife, and after I ate, I was like, eh, waste of my pretty penny.
So when I saw these confections from CCP, first I was quite impressed at the artistry, almost too artful to eat. But you know, I'm not a sweets guy, so I was like, eh. After eating one, I was floored. I've been floored by Swiss chocolate brought back from friends vacations. But I never thought I'd be floored by chocolates, nougats, and other sweets on the mainland, and even more so. They're sweets, but not sweet, so you can actually taste the cocoa, and the specific ingredients that go in them, instead of just sugar or liqueur or something artificial. When you eat a Snickers bar, it fills you up. When you have something the same size at CCP, it's light, doesn't fill you up, but how does it pack so much flavor. I asked how much it is, it's got to be a pretty penny. Well, it may be priced like a Godiva, but it's waaaaay better. Godiva is a factory compared to CCP. A factory just can't produce anything as good the way each confection is hand made and cared for. Clearly, this is not a fake review because fakers don't write this long. My eyes and tastes buds have opened their eyes to revelation of confections that are incredibly worth it. Thank you so much for creating desserts that are...
Read moreOnce you eat a Colorado Cocoa Pod bonbon, you'll never want to eat anything else! Each bonbon is an exquisite piece of art and I'm so glad each box includes the message - "Never too pretty to eat" because if that message wasn't there, I'd seriously just leave my box of chocolate untouched and I'd just stare at it's beauty! Haha. Seriously though, not only are these bonbons beautiful but they're also super tasty and one of my best friends shared her box of Zodiac Animal bonbons with her husband and kids, and her husband said "It's so good!" When my friend asked her husband what was good about it, he said "Everything!!!" Her kids also enjoyed the chocolate and her youngest kid spontaneously shouted "that chocolate was SUPER good!!!"
I pretty much have gotten the same response from each friend that I've had the pleasure of sharing Colorado Cocoa Pod bonbons with... and I won't even start talking about how everything is beautifully wrapped and packaged, etc. - Otherwise I'll be typing forever!! haha
All that to say - You gotta check out Colorado Cocoa Pod's bonbons......

We tried the ube, passionfruit guava, and orange creamsicle chocolates. Each one was a hit with my family, with the favorite being passionfruit guava. The love and dedication poured into these chocolates definitely shines through in the quality and presentation!
We had the pleasure of meeting both Liane and her husband as we also attended the Dragon Boat Festival at Riverdale Regional Park earlier in the day. We were so happy that Liane was kind enough to hold onto the last ube bonbon (which is my husband’s favorite flavor of sweets) for us while we made final decisions on what we wanted. We will definitely be on the lookout for more events to get...
