It only got 4 stars due to the traffic. We got the about 10 am. It was smooth sailing getting in . Stayed about 4 hours. The toddlers had fun climbing, jumping, picking apples, horse rides and wagon for a pumpkin. The craft booths were amazimg and local stores helped as we're a few months into living in Camden Creek. Now leaving was a bit of a nightmare, i didn't see anyone assisting folks to leave and the long to get out was "Kookie Dookie" as we say at our house. We obviously made it home (what should have been max 5-6 mins) after an hour of sitting and nudging an inch (literally) every 10-12 mins. Once heading out, the traffic coming in went all the way down about 2 1/2 blocks. No Joke :). I then got home and got all unloaded, realized we need milk... Gas Station, here I come. I knew NOT to go towards the Orchard, so i went the opposite way, remwmbered i needed laundry soap so I ran into the DG. Thinking traffic would be crazy coming on from the other side so low and behold- yeah, right after the circle the traffic starts to stop. Waited a few then flipped a U-Turn and and went back out to 36 and took that to get home. With this being my 1st year to Beasley's- they surely must be working on a plan of execution to get us in/out- even a new little side road. The most important thing is.the Orchard 1st of all and even though it was a bit expensive per person the mories we made i would have waitedn in a line...
Read moreMy wife and I took a trip to Beasley's on sort of a whim. Just about every year we try to go to an orchard to pick our own apples and so we've been trying to check out new ones and see what they have to offer. Beasley's was great, we happened to come on the weekend of their dog festival so there were so many dogs of all sizes, and quite a few rescues set up trying to find homes for their dogs. There was a fairly long line but you can buy tickets online to get in. There was a corn maze, pumpkin picking, apple cannons, a giant hay bale pile and a giant bouncy pillow for the kids, a nice big shop, as well as a bunch of food trucks, and of course plenty of apples to pick. I'm also pretty sure they had carriage rides going on while we were there. The corn maze was pretty decent, it involved some trivia to help find the correct path. But we mostly went for the apple picking. We were a little late in the season so it took some doing but we got a nice full bag. There were quite a few varieties of apples to choose from, and many, many trees for each. My only complaint was that once you went down an aisle, you had to come all the way back up to find another that was of a variety that you could pick. I would definitely recommend this place as a great fall...
Read moreThe orchard/farm over the past 2 years more feels like a corporate business than it does a family friendly experience. Do not expect to go there and enjoy individual experiences in a budget friendly manner. Gone are the days where this orchard/farm offered free experiences, like the hay ride to the pumpkin patch, or at the very least the option to a la carte your experience. General admission prices are steep when you factor this place defines a three year old the same they do an adult, in terms of pricing. There is no child pricing versus adult pricing options. If you are a family of 6 and attempt to go there to enjoy picking pumpkins, your day turns into spending well over 100 dollars. We are only one family amongst the hundreds/thousands of people visiting this location yearly, but at the end of the day, that used to be the point. You went to Beasley's because you felt like you were part of the experience - a part of the orchard and farm family. Now, you feel they merely see you as a dollar sign. Perhaps we will try to grow pumpkins ourselves next year. A better family bonding experience and a lot...
