All sites are within walking distance to indoor bathrooms and shower facilities. 🏞️Nature Center Rental Information The Nature Center may be rented by the hour or for the day between 10am and 9pm. Kayak passes are available for $5 annually. Kayaks are NOT available to rent. 📚Nature Center Programs Pecar offered different educational courses in the Nature Center. Pock Woods and Pecar Park Campground is such an unknown gem in Hendricks County! There are 7 campsites on an open loop plus two tucked into the woods (sites 8 and 9), which are wonderfully private and make you feel really connected to nature. Each site has a fire ring, trashcan, and picnic table, and there are plenty of amenities for kids to enjoy too. We stayed at one of the wooded sites and loved how secluded it felt, while still being just a short drive from home. The campground has nice touches like a water spigot on-site, and the nature center nearby has 24-hour bathrooms and showers which are such a nice convenience. I’m surprised more people don’t know about this campground because it’s truly great. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to camp close to home with all the basics covered, this is definitely worth checking out!

I visited during lunch. It is a very nice park. It has an obstacle course for kids & some adults. I went in the nature center to look at the turtles. The lovely ladies that work that are so friendly & offered help if I needed anything. They are very knowledgeable. There are a lot of things to do. Check the event wall. There will be a halloween fun event soon. I will definitely visit again when the weather is cooler. The pond has pretty ducks in it.

I visited during lunch. It is a very nice park. It has an obstacle course for kids & some adults. I went in the nature center to look at the turtles. The lovely ladies that work that are so friendly & offered help if I needed anything. They are very knowledgeable. There are a lot of things to do. Check the event wall. There will be a halloween fun event soon. I will definitely visit again when the weather is cooler. The pond has pretty ducks in it.

Nice little park, but I've tried to fish the pond 4 or 5 different times, totaling around 10 hours, and I haven't caught a single fish there yet. The pond is practically overflowing with tadpoles and I've accidentally hooked into 3-4 tadpoles just fishing a lipless crankbait. I'm honestly not sure if any fish even live in the pond because after 10 hours you expect to catch one, or at least get a bite! There are also abundances of minnows and crawdad so it seems that the pond definitely needs more predation and a...
