Pock Woods and Pecar Park Campground is such an unknown gem in Hendricks County! There are 7 campsites on an open loop plus two tucked into the woods (sites 8 and 9), which are wonderfully private and make you feel really connected to nature. Each site has a fire ring, trashcan, and picnic table, and there are plenty of amenities for kids to enjoy too.
We stayed at one of the wooded sites and loved how secluded it felt, while still being just a short drive from home. The campground has nice touches like a water spigot on-site, and the nature center nearby has 24-hour bathrooms and showers which are such a nice convenience.

The pond is practically overflowing with tadpoles and I've accidentally hooked into 3-4 tadpoles just fishing a lipless crankbait. The lovely ladies that work that are so friendly & offered help if I needed anything. They are very knowledgeable. There are a lot of things to do. Check the event wall.
