Sandy Pond Beach — Attraction in Ayer

There are shockingly few public beaches around in Nashoba Valley considering the abundance of gorgeous lakes and ponds. This is the only one I have found. Great for kids. There is plenty of sand, a small play structure, bathrooms, beach volleyball, basketball and picnic tables (no BBQing allowed though). It is well located, and free! The place is clean, it has a playground, a basketball, and a sand volleyball court. There are 3 lifeguards rotating to make sure we are safe, they separate the swimming area in two: the shallow area for small kids, and a more deep area for adults, kids are encouraged to be with a adults, or use floating vest when in the deep area. I had such a good time there . I went with my friend jenny and it was great ! Everyone had a great time . I would recommend bringing some food cause there's no concession stands there .
