I wanted to share some feedback regarding a recent visit to your Demases Farm location in Boyd, TX. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations—especially when compared to the consistently wonderful visits I’ve had in past years at your Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm in Pilot Point.

For several years, my family and I have made it a tradition to visit Pecan Creek during strawberry season. Each time, we’ve been met with not only beautiful, large, and flavorful strawberries, but also genuinely friendly and helpful staff who made the experience enjoyable and memorable.

Since I recently moved to Azle, I was excited to try Demases Farm due to its proximity. Knowing both farms are operated by the same family, I expected a similar level of quality and service. Sadly, that was not the case.

Despite arriving right at opening, the strawberries were small, underripe, and lacking in flavor. Many were simply not worth picking. The few I did gather were so firm that I couldn’t crush them for my homemade freezer jam and had to resort to using a food processor. I even had to make an extra trip to the grocery store just to supplement what I picked.

Even more disappointing was the lack of warmth or helpfulness from the staff, which was a stark contrast to the welcoming and informative team at Pecan Creek.

I’ve attached photos from both farms so you can see the difference in fruit quality. If I were to rate my experience at Demases, I would honestly give it a 1 out of 10, compared to the 10 out of 10 I consistently experience at Pecan Creek.

Though I was hopeful this location would offer the same high standards, I’ve learned that the drive to Pilot Point is well worth it. I’ll be returning to Pecan Creek next year...

My first of many visits to the Demases Farm and luckily just in time for the last package of strawberries for the day! It’s hard to find fresh strawberries in the DFW area without having to drive a few hours, so I’m glad these aren’t far from me! Picked up some local honey (regular and lavender), fresh picked spinach, homemade sauerkraut (which I can’t wait to open), and a jar of wild grape jelly. The strawberry jam was sold out for the day sadly, but the wild grape jelly is a great combination of tart/sweet and delicious. The produce is so clean, ripe, freshly picked, and the people are super friendly. The strawberries were a lovely treat dipped in chocolate. 🥰 Can’t wait for...

Excited first time strawberry picking in the farm. We went little early in the morning around 8:30AM. You can purchase buckets for $5 and they allowing to enter the farm sharply 9AM. It's such a big farm and went on Saturday it was crowded but everybody will have option to pick the enough number of Strawberry but if you go after 10AM it's purely based on your luck. Most of the good strawberry will be picked up already. It's open over the weekdays as well depend on availability of strawberry. After picking you need to pay based on the weight. $7/lb. It's so fresh and very tasty. Staffs are friendly they have arranged the restroom and temporary closet to wash...
