Dove Ridge Vineyard — Attraction in Azle

When we first started to look at wedding venues, we knew we wanted to have that gut feeling of “this is the one”. I had looked at four different venues before I found D.R. and when I finally found Dove Ridge and had that “OH MY GOSH THIS IS WHERE I AM GETTING MARRIED TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE”, I was over the moon. I drove up the hill and looked out my window and I can’t tell you enough that the photos online, DO NOT do it justice!! I stepped out of my car, and it was like I was in a fairytale. I couldn’t believe how absolutely stunning the views were. I knew in my heart that this is where I would get married. Then, I met Janan and Elisha and they confirmed everything. I could tell they loved their job and were there for their bride and grooms! I am very much a “Type A” kind of gal and had a huge binder and about 50 questions already lined up I printed off online from “what to ask your wedding vendor”. We immediately hit it off, and they were so accommodating.

I first met Elisha when I walked in, and very patiently listened and answered all the questions. While we toured the venue, I asked if they give any discounts for people with disabilities. I have Lupus, and I thought I would give it a shot? None of the other venues offered that, but D.R. said they could throw a little discount in and was so overwhelmed with their response. Elisha and Janana were a HUGE reason why we decided on D.R.! They were so down to earth, and I could tell they genuinely wanted to make sure it was going to be perfect on our special day! Throughout the entire planning process, they were so responsive and always answered all my emails and phone calls and even text messages!

I will be honest, it was the most expensive wedding venue I looked at, however oh BOY WAS IT WORTH IT!! My husband came with me for the second time and toured the venue, and the way he reacted was so reassuring and knew he loved it just as much as I did.

About two weeks after we signed the contract, COVID hit. We were devastated. The feeling of the “unknown” was so scary, but Janan urged us to keep our date and see what happens. Everything worked out perfectly, and although we couldn’t get everyone, we wanted to be there to make it – we were so happy with how everything worked out!

The day of our wedding finally came, and it couldn’t have gone any better. From start to finish, everything went PERFECTLY! Dove Ridge Vineyard is a breathtaking Wedding Venue, and the service couldn’t be any better. My guests were WOWED with the beautiful sunset views, and the weather turned out to be SO amazing for it to be in November!

For the person who got to the end of this review, I want to tell you one thing. DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER!! If I could do my wedding all over again, I would choose Dove Ridge OVER AND OVER again! Thank you for everything Janan! Dove Ridge was the perfect start to our “ever after”. I can’t wait to come and visit the winery and catch up in the future!

Last night was one of those humbling moments I’ll never forget.

As I was leaving the venue after an incredible night, I made a mistake — I took a wrong turn with my SUV and trailer, heading down by the venue’s dumpster, thinking it was the exit. Within seconds, I realized I had made a serious error. I found myself stuck deep in the mud on a trail with no easy way out… and it was MIDNIGHT.

Completely flustered, I ran back up to the venue — mud-covered and embarrassed — to ask for help. I found Mike and the incredible staff at Dove Ridge Vineyard and explained my situation. Without hesitation, without frustration, and with the biggest servant hearts, they rallied together.

Mike showed up with a TRACTOR (yes, a tractor!) and, together with the team, they stayed with me — well past midnight — and helped get my trailer and SUV unstuck and safely back on solid ground.

I cannot fully express how much their kindness meant to me. They didn’t treat me like an inconvenience or a problem to deal with. They treated me like family. And in a moment where I felt helpless, they showed nothing but grace, patience, and generosity.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to Mike and the entire Dove Ridge Vineyard team. Your willingness to step in, without hesitation, truly moved me — and even more so because today I get to keep a special promise: taking my daughter to a concert in Austin. Without your help, we would have missed making those memories together.

Because of what y’all did for me, I will forever be one of Dove Ridge Vineyard’s biggest fans and supporters. If you ever need anything — whether it’s helping with a bride’s wedding day or an open house or client event — I would be honored to serve alongside such an amazing team.

When my husband and I were looking at wedding venues, we were looking for somewhere beautiful, open and different - we didn't want a cookie-cutter wedding. We toured several places, but nothing was really hitting the mark. I had been following Dove Ridge on social media for awhile, and though it was a little farther out than we had originally wanted, the pictures of the venue were unreal - we had to visit. Upon arrival, we sort of instantly knew this was the place. The venue is stunning and unlike anything in the Metroplex, truly. From the minute you drive through the front gates, it already feels special, but once you're at the peak of the hill taking in the gorgeous view, you feel like you're in an incredibly magical place.

We decided to get married there this past March (2019), and it was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. The owner, Janan, and her staff are the warmest and most professional of people - they don't just make you feel like they'll take perfect care of your important day, they make you feel like family. You can tell with the way they designed the venue; it has everything you could possibly want or need in an event space - they've thought of it all, and they don't try to upsell you on a bunch of extras, either. Unlike a lot of vendors in the wedding business, they're not out to take advantage of you. They sincerely love bringing families joy and helping to make their day extraordinary - you can just tell! They certainly succeeded in this for us.

In sum, I can't say enough just how much I recommend Dove Ridge. My husband and I will look back fondly on our special day for the rest of our lives, and we're so thankful to be have been able to celebrate it in such a beautiful way at such a...
