Friedman Farms — Attraction in Back Mountain

It is a beautiful wedding venue with several options in which you can have your ceremony if it isn't raining. Unfortunately, for my wedding it was practically a monsoon outside so our ceremony had to be in the loft - not a big deal because it was still beautiful if only a bit dark and definitely not handicap accessible.

The staff was overall helpful and answered any questions we had. Pete and his staff set out the tables and chairs exactly as was needed and our coordinator, Christine, was great managing our day.

Now the reason for the 4 stars: as I said it was pretty much raining ALL morning and into the afternoon. Like heavy duty rain - and apparently there were leaks in the roof where we had our reception. We came in that morning to moist/wet linens and some ruined favors. I'm not entirely sure if they were aware of the leaks before - but it seemed like they had known about it . When we were inquiring about it we were told where the tubs to catch the drips could be used and that the rain should stop mid afternoon. This isnt exactly comforting on your wedding day (not I really expected them to be able to do something about it). I suppose I was just disappointed at the way the concern was handled- after all this was not a cheap venue. Luckily, the rain did stop by the end of the ceremony and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Just as a side note: we were well aware of this prior to signing the contract but you do pay for the tables and chairs...

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and it was exactly what we hoped for! The venue is so beautiful especially with all of the lights lit up and the property is amazing! All of our guests were telling us how much they loved it and how fitting it was for us. The owners and staff were so helpful throughout the whole planning process and I loved how we had the venue from Tuesday-Sunday which helped with the stress of setting up and I was able to DIY almost everything, this was a big factor for us when deciding a venue! They also allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner there as well which was perfect because we got to spend more time there and really soak in the whole weekend of our wedding. Compared to a lot of venues this is very affordable which we appreciated since weddings can be so expensive and we loved that they provide a day of coordinator. Tammy was ours, and she was amazing! We are beyond grateful to have celebrated our wedding at Friedman Farms! From start to finish, the entire team went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. The venue itself is breathtaking—every space is beautifully maintained and created such a magical backdrop for our ceremony and reception. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the staff. They were professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything ran smoothly. From answering endless questions during planning, to coordinating seamlessly with our vendors, to making sure we were cared for throughout the day—they thought of every detail. Our guests are still raving about how gorgeous the venue was and how smoothly the day flowed.
