2025.01.04 early morning ~mid_20s_F crept to high 30s_F by late morning, did a hike at Morrow Mountain S.P. NC. Started OUT at the the trailhead beside the Museum. Planned on doing a planned ~8 mi (Orange) route but my Hiking Apps GaiaGPS, Caltopo and Alltrails maps didn't correspond or match the actual trails. And so i adhoc did an ~5+ mi (Blue). Perhaps, the Morrow Mountain S.P. trails have been re-routed (and GaiaGPS, Alltrails, and Caltopo are outdated)? Saw ~10+ squirrels, a few birdsongs. During my ~2+ hrs on-the-trails, only encountered a total of 2 Trail-runners, and 1 hiker. While exiting the MMSP, i noticed more vehicles streaming in. Except for when i went off-trail, the trails were in good condition. 🙃 Anyway, all's well .. had a very enjoyable sweet solitude hike.
