Really great park for many reasons. There’s a large sand pit that is shaded with a few benches close by for adults to sit. There are two play structures for the little kids and a big train play structure that is suitable for most ages - my two year old loves it! There are a couple of picnic tables, some swings, and lots of shade.
There’s a creek off to the side, which I didn’t notice the first few times I was here until I saw some kids run over that direction. I walked over with my 3.5 year old to check it out and he started playing in the dirt. Next thing I know he has at least a dozen pieces of glass in a bucket so be aware and cautious!! Cons: Combination of sand, wood chips and rubber ground. Sand is problematic as it causes play structures and cement sidewalks to be slippery when kids are running around.
