This is a really awesome little park with a lot of history. The centerpiece are the two Endicott Era gun batteries which defended the entrance to Bremerton until 1920. The more impressive battery is not well marked and cam be found by parking at the boat launch at the north end of the park and following the trail that leads uphill near the bathrooms. Would love to come back here with our bicycles. It is paved and pretty flat, so also wheelchair friendly / accessible once you navigate just a little bit of gravel getting onto the path from the start (it really is just a little bit).
