The advertisement for the Crop Maze & Pumpkin Patch at Springhill Farm sounded like a great weekend adventure for our family. However, once we arrived and paid our entry fee it was very obvious that we were wrong. The included activities were lacking, the attendants weren’t at their stations for the add on activities (ax throwing, pumpkin chunking). We ended up waiting 25 mins for them to return. We saw the hay ride arrive to transport patrons to the corn maze and waited for its return to catch the next ride. However, when it returned, it returned to an entirely different location picking up a separate group of families. The group of families waiting with us were just as confused. There is no signage posted to indicate a designated area. The mini golf course was fit for toddlers only and the bounce house was very small. Lastly, when we attempted to end the day with “BBQ, Hot Dogs, Boiled Peanuts, home made Apple Fritters and home made vanilla ice cream” we found that they were out of all food and the ice cream wasn’t set. This was at 12pm, so it’s not the end of the day for them, it’s lunch time. We settled for some sodas and chips, but the sodas were expired as of January 2021. If you live near by, this is not a terrible place to bring your toddler but I would adjust your expectations for what is presented online. I also don’t feel as though parents should be charged $10, as anything that adults can participate in is an...
Read moreSo disappointed. We have visited before and had a lovely time, not this year. We went for the pumpkin patch, corn maze, bounce houses, etc. There were only pumpkins for sale in the barn, NO pumpkin patch at all, and there was not a good selection in the barn, my local Walmart has better. The bounce houses were not being cleaned, and were small compared to what they have had. The maze was full of ant mounds, with live ants , not mounds left after being treated, And this is not okay for small kids. Basically, my husband felt like it was an absolute waste of time and money, and my kids, who remember our last visit, were also disappointed. It was a money pit, just don’t go this year. We won’t...
Read moreThe farm is v nice. People are v friendly. I gave 2 because when I've seen the donkeys soaking wet in the rain , I saked if they have a shelter or a spot or even a plastic rain protection. The owner or a worker there i believe he is the owner. He said they can go under the tree but when it gets cold they give the horse a blanket. People think that donkeys has thicker fur .TRUTH is donkeys doesn't have oil on their fur to make the rain fall off their fur. Actually the rain will soak under their fur to the skin and they get really cold. Donkeys are warm weather animals they were created near deserts and hot climate. MAYBE SOME MERCY ON THESE CREATURES WILL BE...
