The washboard road to get to the parking lot isn’t too bad if you take it slow for about 10 minutes. There are washrooms at the trailhead. It took us 1.5 hours round trip hiking to the top and back down. Visited in early February and a light jacket was enough for the hike in the evening. I wore sandals (Teva’s) and didn’t have to worry about getting sand in my shoe -there were no cactus’s so they were a great option! Don’t forget to bring water for the hike.
