I recently had the pleasure of visiting the awe-inspiring Michel Caverns in Mojave, and I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed my experience. From the moment I entered the caverns until the end of the tour, everything was exceptional. However, what truly made this journey memorable was our incredible tour guide, William.

This place defines some place in the middle of nowhere, but it's worth going to. I've been to quite a few caverns in the last few months and this one is definitely unique. Not only because of the place it's at. The cavern itself is very interesting. The surrounding desert is absolutely beautiful and you get great views as you're walking towards the entrance along the mountainside. Cavern itself is fairly short. The tour is only about an hour and you go down to the end and then back again along the same route. What's nice is that it's extremely well lit inside. Never really have a problem of getting lost or not seeing where you're going. The state park guides are excellent. There is a website for the caverns that details all you need to know about getting inside the caverns with a tour guide, etc. Before anyone drives there, they need to visit the website (link available on Google). After reading the information, I had no problem getting through on a Monday to get a reservation. This being April, I was told that reservations are booked through until June 2018. There is a standby list. If you decide to go this route, it's unfair to the staff to leave a one star review because you did not get a spot on a tour. JUST READ THE WEBSITE INFORMATION BEFOREHAND. We had a great time. Got to learn a lot of information and take plenty of pictures and videos. The staff is passionate and enthusiastic about their jobs.
