Cascade Park is a serene oasis right in the heart of town, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. One of its most captivating features is the stunning series of waterfalls, which provide a soothing soundtrack as you explore the park. The sound of cascading water adds to the park's tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.

The park is well-equipped with picnic tables, making it a great destination for a leisurely lunch or a family picnic. The tables are strategically placed to offer great views of the waterfalls and the surrounding natural beauty. The lush greenery and the sound of the falls create a peaceful environment, perfect for unwinding.

Cascade Park is truly a hidden gem, offering a picturesque and peaceful retreat right in town. Whether you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy a picnic, or simply appreciate the beauty of nature, this park is...

I originally gave this place 5 stars because it is attractive and has some pleasant paths to walk. We were there last week, however, and the experience was not as enjoyable. There's a serious homeless problem in Bangor, and it's nearly impossible to go anywhere without realizing it. On Thursday while there, a homeless man was sleeping on the picnic table. After walking up the hill I sat on a stump to enjoy the waterfall and sat in vomit. Shifting the homeless population from one area to another in the city is not solving the problem. The local government needs to start working on real answers. Stop trying to advertise the place as a tourist destination when it's in this shape. You're just embarrassing the...

Great place to visit on a hot day. If you are looking for a scenic picnic area, or just out for a small hike, this beautiful park has a working fountain that will cool you off on even the hottest of days, once the wind hits the cool water and you are sprinkled with that refreshing feeling of cool water on a hot day. Bring your friends, bring your dogs, bring your partners and yourself and set off on a tiny hike up to the top of there waterfall area, where all of the water has conjugated. Then enjoy a sit down near the fountain and enjoy the weather and maybe a bit...

I was here a few years ago to let little legs stretch, but had no idea about the paths that go way back. Such a great little walkabout. Plus it was so cool and felt so “Stephen King” to get to the top of the hill and see the large and imposing Dorothea Dix facility in the background. My picture is taken to crop out as much modernity as possible. What a great spot in Bangor. I have disabilities and arthritis and was a little winded, but I was also walking at a brisk-ish pace up the hill.
