Joe's Landing — Attraction in Barataria

Gas, bait, fuel, launch, snacks and ice. What more do you need from a marina other than a guided fishing charter! Well we finally gave the charter a shot and it was well worth it even though I have my own boat to fish from.

Well my boat was in the shop and I wanted to fish baddd so my buddies and I decided to get a fishing charter here and we don't regret it for a second. We slaughtered the reds and the trout! We got some huge trout too!

WARNING * Big Dog Charters is a little cheaper BUTTT you get what you pay for as we learned earlier this year not to use them for any of our charters ever again. I've talked to a lot of people since then and seems everyone local has the same opinions of why not as well. I'll just leave it at that!

The owner of this place intentionally put a big sharp metal object to protect what his clerk called a diesel tank, but it seems to be an exposed or above the ground pipeline. This sharp metal object has no signs. It destroyed 2 of our brand new trailer tires. The owner spoke to my husband and offer to pay for the tires. We pay over $100 dollars for one tire and we need to buy another one. The owner sent a check for $75 dollars for 2 tires that cost over $200. What he sent don’t even cover the price of one. Now the clerk told me that the owner was going to split the cost with my husband which is not what we agreed to do. Even if that was the case, his check is not even close to split the cost. Be careful at this place. You’re kid could get hurt. This place is an accident...

7/22/25 A no-frills boat launch. owners and staff are more than willing to assist on issues within their ability.

They provide ethanol free fuel and a shaded fish cleaning station. Large and small bags of ice are available, along with basic fishing supplies as well marine engine oil. Bait is limited to cockaho when available. No engine repair servises are available.. Some boat sheds need maintenance, a perpetual issue
