Lake Mcdonough — Attraction in Barkhamsted

I love this place, however the my last visit was unpleasant experience, we we're visiting this weekend. There was a family who decided to sneak alcohol into the park. The metro police spotted the liquor and started to go through the families cooler and belongings. I wasn't bothered by them checking the coolers and doing their jobs to keep everyone safe, but they decided to check an elderly woman in a wheelchair. This was horrible. They found the alcohol on a bunch of the teenagers, not sure what the elderly woman had anything to do with the alcohol that was brought into the park. Very...

I grew up coming here all summer long every summer. And when I had my kids my mother and I continued he tradition and even brought in the other side of my kid's family to enjoy the summer days there. And I loved when they began to improve it a little with the bathrooms and such. But I've been very disappointed the last few years while they've continued to not open it. And now it's closed for a lack of lifeguards? Do teenagers no longer make money being lifeguards in the summer? How are there no life guards...
