Read moreReview based on fishing only. The lake is gorgeous, and it’s very spacious. However if you plan on fishing this is one of the worst bodies of water to spend your day. It has gained and earned the nickname “blanks” lake for a reason. Live bait for panfish? Good luck with that. Fishing for bass? Well plan to make 10-20 casts at one single cypress tree with a black finesse worm just to have a chance of a bite from a 1 pound bass. Latest local tournament on blanks lake winner was a 5 fish limit of just over 8 pounds. That’s horrible. I heard when they drain the lake people sneak out there at night and haul loads of fish home, and there’s many more theories for why the fishing is so poor out there. Feds desperately need to stock this...

The new dock has rod holders, cutting boards, a picnic table and provides numerous spots for better fishing. This has become an awesome place to bring the family, fish, have a picnic or just relax and enjoy...
