If I could give less than a 1 star I WOULD ! Yesterday we were emptying out an apartment. We made sure to ONLY take what people could re use, we had taken a full load of clothes books shoes but on our second load we were going to take it consist of night stands, Christmas decor, a kitchen table and some roll around storage. We pull in and the two gentleman go get these two ladies we let down the tailgate of the truck and this woman come and says “what do we have here ladies” ? So we point and show her … she then says “we’re no savage yard we’re a resale store we don’t just take anything again we’re no savage yard” so I say nothing of this is horrible she points to the table and the legs slide off she said it what “broken” it wasn’t it was very sturdy! We then as anyone would be get upset because she seriously just belittled us and made it sound like all we were bringing was trash when it wasn’t! I will not DONATE NOR SUPPORT THIS PLACE! I only took it there because supposedly they help out families in Bastrop. With those attitudes I don’t know how they could...
Read moreHelpful and friendly staff. What I like most about it is that all the proceeds go to a women's shelter. Also a great bonus that their prices are very fair on clothing, the prices are a bit high for second hand. The store is very well organized and clean.
Update: 2/21/18 I stopped in this evening and one of the sales associates Margaret who btw is a very nice woman she always welcomes me with a smile. Also Margaret has on several occasions gone the extra mile to help me with this and that. Well today she went above and beyond in my opinion... I've been looking for gently used cute overalls for some time now and she not only remembered me inquiring several times if she might have some..... & Eureka she sought some out for me and found me a pair. 😁 Thank you so much Margaret for making my day and always making me feel welcomed. You Rock!!! All of the ladies from bits and pieces are nice. I love this spot and recommend it to friends, family and complete strangers at least 2-5...
Read moreWarning do not go here if you have children especially toddlers. The women who work here are really crabby and do not like children. I was putting up with weird comments and attitude from the ladies every time I stopped in. The last time I was in I wasn't in the store for a minute and a half before they told my two-year-old daughter that she can look but don't touch a bunch of the used activity centers they had displayed out front. So I just picked her up and said well then we're leaving. The fact that they care about a toddler touching a toy is ridiculous. I mentioned it to my sister that I wasn't going to the thrift store anymore, and she said that the same thing happened to her the one time she went in there. The woman working at the time said that she hated all the toys being around and hated toys and hated children. It sounds made up...
